As it burnt.

The FBI stated
it was a poor effort
as he was Special Forces Sgt.

…so the New Orleans killer was a ‘Lone Wolf’ is now the thought and that thought has completely contrasted in less than 24 hours…there was only two possibilities really, wasn’t there…he was either acting alone or he wasn’t and this is the FBI, with access to so much information that we don’t have and out of those two choices…the one that they leaned to and were reporting was the incorrect one…

Crimson Dynamo 03-01-2025 08:04 AM

This "lone wolf" wasn't self-radicalised..

bots 03-01-2025 10:00 AM

i'm not convinced with any lone wolf scenarios. Someone else always knows whats going on

It's quite possible that he was an islamic terrorist with ISIS sympathies, but still acting on his own.

no, at a minimum, they will have gone on line looking for the terrorist handbook, they will have researched targets. That means others have knowledge about it

Nothing we ever do is unknown. We are all gaslit on privacy while big tech and the government snoops on us

I do get what you're saying, but that doesn't mean other people were directly involved or collaborating.

The Americans really handled that badly....about 10 people spoke at the press Conference....it was complete carnage. There needs to be one person giving the details and any facts. They dont need the Mayor or anyone else giving it the 'big' talk. I thought the whole façade was embarrassing.

15 people have lost their lives and some people want to 'have their moment' in front of the cameras...despicable.

it's because responsibility is split between federal, state and city. Too many cooks always causes a problem and America political system just makes it much less clear. It's the reason so many serial killers remained at large for so long in the past

Thank you for that clarification Bots....it just seems like a mess...too many cooks..not a great system.

Crimson Dynamo 03-01-2025 02:01 PM

That's NOLA, typically. They have more politicians than common sense. They still have damage and issues stemming from Katrina (2005) that are unfixed. Every place is going to be a little different but generally speaking responsibility is handed off when federal takes over after preinvestigation.

But... the FBI is not as competent as is often portrayed. Have heard some shocking stories from the LEO side and some of their investigators are not the brightest. So not surprised that some places are not as willing to let them take over the wheel completely given they flat out lie now about basic facts...

Generally speaking they break these things up if they want different sides\depts speaking. They do multiple here. Local has their own with emergency response speaking first usually and more frequently, then State for general response and then maybe Federal if anyone still wants\needs their input.. or they take over sooner*

Its kind of sad though...the 'side show' almost detracts from the poor people that died.

Yeah it will be quickly politicized, sadly. Especially this close to inauguration... politicians going out wants to say their last piece and those who will remain want to be seen as front and center for the next political cycle.

It won't hurt, I don't think. He is still our President.
