There's way too much to learn, curse the government for removing January exams. :fist:

Have they really?

Not a good move imo, leaves the inability to resit a Jan exam in June and like you said, thats a hell of a lot of content to learn for 1 exam period!

Yes :(

No more January exams so we have two exams for all four subjects in May, and any resists have to be done next June on top of all the A2 exams in each subject. It's really frustrating but I'm just happy I wasn't born two years later because from September 2015 they're going linear with them all being at the end of A2 with no more AS exams. D:

This is a terrible idea!

I know so many people in that situation, thankfully I don't have to retake anything and since English doesn't require revision I only have two subjects to deal with

I don't think I'm ready for uni though, I'm not comfortable with the idea that after three years it's time for the real world . It's way too soon :/ I think I really just need an extra year, not a gap year as I'd hate one whole year of doing nothing, an extra year of college. So yeah in the back of my mind I'm secretly hoping to fail.. lol

Benjamin 13-04-2014 09:29 PM

You can take a gap year and travel, that is not doing nothing.

Just wondering if anyone else gets there? Good luck if you do. :wavey:

Always weirds me out seeing this thread. 5 years old

:wavey:

King Gizzard 13-04-2014 09:38 PM

I said I wasn't ready for uni and took a year off...and then I never ended up going, kept putting it off. I'd advise you going as soon as possible unless you have something set in stone that you're going to do for a gap year

Benjamin 13-04-2014 09:39 PM

Did you not defer before taking a gap year, Nathan?

King Gizzard 13-04-2014 09:41 PM

No I just left with quite terrible results and sort of put off doing anything about it. Never really knew what I wanted to do at uni/wasn't ready to leave home

My 6th form was terrible with helping me too. Should have gone to a college instead of staying at school 6th

King Gizzard 13-04-2014 09:42 PM

I'm the perfect pin up for "this is what happens if you don't try hard in 6th form/don't sort your UCAS out/decide what course you want to do and where you want to go"

Brother Leon 13-04-2014 09:54 PM

I miss A Levels...well not now that I've finished Uni I suppose

Benjamin 13-04-2014 09:55 PM

I ****ing hated A levels, by far the ****tiest point in education.

King Gizzard 13-04-2014 09:56 PM

Just practised test questions from day 1. Especially in psychology. Never actually learnt anything about the subjects

Ninastar 13-04-2014 10:06 PM

my biggest regret is not trying harder in school... you just dont believe it when people say it to you in school

however, I dont think i'd be where I am now if I didnt do badly at school. I'm now a teaching assistant and the past two weeks have been two of the best in my life. I have absolutely loved it.

its sad because I was only at the school for 2 weeks... but they want me to work there full time. It takes more or less an hour to get there though.

My tutor at college always said that A-levels would be the toughest exams you'd ever do and she was so right.

I put off going to uni for two years after I finished. I had to force myself to go, thinking if I didn't do it then I never would. Pretty much hated every minute of my first year and had to drag myself out of bed in the mornings but 2nd and 3rd have been great.

Glad I've done it now. At least it's out the way, I can't wait to get back to work though as daft as it sounds. I'm well and truly bored of education.

Me. I Am Salman 13-04-2014 10:21 PM

I really enjoy A-levels, and college in general

I'm almost done with my HNC ... can't decide whether to do the HND or not..

If I don't do it straight away, I won't go back to do it.. so..

Came out with a D* for my first year, so happy with myself :D

Jay. 21-05-2014 04:26 PM

I'm currently drowning in the amount of revision I'm doing and none of it is making sense and I'm in a pretty dark place right now. I cannot wait for it to be over :umm2:
