Adele's 21 falls to No.2 after 58 weeks in the chart. :o
Adele's 19 falls to No.10 after 155 weeks in the chart :o

Adele sold a further 303k copies of 21 last week and returned to the no1 spot on the worldwide album charts for an astonishing 37th week.

This takes her official total to 19,976,000....just 24k from the 20 million mark. But it will have sold that easily since this tally so it has unofficially passed that landmark by now.

Her 21 album is also no6 best seller of all time in the UK and set to pass MJs Thriller within a couple of months. Plus its just 1.6 million from reaching Diamond status in the US(10 million).

With 4.7 million sales already this year(before end of march!) she is well on course to be the years biggest seller yet again. Using last year as a yard stick; Last years 2nd biggest seller was Lady Gaga with 5.4 million. She should pass that figure within 3 weeks.

The weird thing is I rarely see people talk about it as this amazing album. In fact most people who have listened to 19 seem to prefer that. Maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places on the interwebs, but nothing I've heard about it justifies the huge sales.

she has been away for over 6 months. I doubt there's ever been a more low profile artist with such huge sales. Thats whats so astonishing. She doesnt even use video promo much.

21 has been certified 9x Platinum in the US by the RIAA on 05/04. Still doing majorly well.

Im sure she just buys coppies for herself :/ I've listened to the album and its not even thaaaat good :suspect:

Adele storms past the 21 million mark. Last week she added another 188k to her tally.

Total sales are now 21,138,000

thats almost 6 million this year alone!

Plus she also picked up 18 nominations at the Billboard music awards. Ceremony is on 20th May in Vegas(baby!).

It is a magnificent album by a magnificent artist, really well deserved achievements. I have a feeling the success story of this album is far from over yet too.

The record managed to sell 74,029 copies over the past seven days, despite being released in the United States back in February 2011, according to Hits Daily Double.

The 27% increase in sales follows Adele's NBC special, which included an interview with the star and clips from her Live At The Royal Albert Hall DVD.

21 is thought to have surpassed sales of 22 million worldwide since its UK release in January 2011.

The collection has been certified 16 times platinum in the UK, nine times platinum in the US, 13 times platinum in Australia and diamond in Canada.

The US chart feat comes in the same week Adele's 21 fell out of the UK Top 10 for the first time.

I know this has been said a 1000 times but seriously why are people still buying this, its like every week a new bunch of people have just discovered the album which is stupid because it's been out forever now
