Christina 03-07-2009 01:55 PM

Tom4784 03-07-2009 07:46 PM

I started reading Breaking Dawn about an hour ago, I'm on Chapter 6 now.

[spoil]I can see why a Breaking Dawn film hasn't been green lighted yet. The sexual tension! The sadomasochistic sex! It'd be a hard sell for a 12a

I'm enjoying it so far though, It's very different to the other books. Finally I nearly had myself a moment of silence for Bella's truck. Possibly the most tragic Twilight moments since Alice nearly had to give back her Mercedes 911. :laugh2:[/spoil]

I've had an idea, it's best not to quote posts with spoilers as the text is visible, save us from spoiling it for Christina and others.

Christina 03-07-2009 07:48 PM

Aw thanks Dezzy

pinkmichk 03-07-2009 08:03 PM

lol didnt take you long to read that much
[spoil]i cant see how they will be able to do bd film on same age the others, although does anyone else think that twilight new moon and eclipse are like the longest fore play in the history of forever[/spoil]

BigSister 03-07-2009 08:09 PM

[spoil] Haha yeah i know what you mean about the film. They might make it a 15 or possibly an 18[/spoil]

Tom4784 03-07-2009 08:10 PM

I'm a fast reader lol.

[spoil]the BD film will either not have any of the sex in it or they won't have Bella looking like she's gone 10 rounds with Tyson after it :laugh2:

What in the blue hell were they doing?[/spoil]

No problem Christina!

pinkmichk 03-07-2009 08:15 PM

one of my fav quotes of the whole saga is
[spoil]"why am i covered in feathers?" " i bit a pillow or two" :joker:
they will have to change the age i think cos will loose too much from the book [/spoil]

Christina 03-07-2009 10:05 PM

I'm so tempted to read all of these spoilers haha!

BigSister 03-07-2009 10:19 PM

Nooooooooooooooooooo dont hehe

pinkmichk 03-07-2009 10:21 PM

step away from the spoilers christina

question for those who have read all of bd
[spoil] so was reneesme concieved first or second time i think first time [/spoil]

BigSister 03-07-2009 11:11 PM

[spoil] I think first as well although i might have to re read that bit to be sure[/spoil]

pinkmichk 04-07-2009 08:51 AM

[spoil] i think edward had a knowing she was pregnant but didnt want to accept it before she realised she was just in how he acts its like he is aware but not completely [/spoil]

Tom4784 04-07-2009 08:39 PM

I'm on Chapter 21 now. I think it's a personal Twilight record, 15 chapters in one day.

[spoil]I LOVED Jacob's book although I don't like the fact he imprinted on Renesmee, that was weird. I also liked the little diferences in his book like the chapter titles being sentances and such. I think Leah's became one of my favourite characters now and I hope her role in the films isn't reduced too much.

I loved the little exchanges between Rosalie and Jacob and the somewhat friendship that sprung between Jake and Edward. I hope they keep that in the film is a BD one is ever made. It's gonna be a hard book to adapt, the first part's like something off the top shelf in a shop and the second part's gorier then a Saw film.

Edward's 'ow' comment made me laugh when Bella became a vampire.[/spoil]

For the love of God Christina resist the urge of the spoilers, you'll only regret it afterwoods! :spin2:

DrunkerThanMoses 05-07-2009 09:35 AM

Im on the last book Breaking Dawn... really enjoying them! [spoil]Im at the part were the wolfs are about to attack Bella and the Vampires..... ah. [/spoil]

Tom4784 05-07-2009 02:06 PM

That's a good bit but remember to put spoiler tags up when talking about BD. There's a few members who read the thread that haven't got that far.

You do spoilers by typing what you want to hide between [*spoil] and [*/spoil] in case you don't know. Oh and remove the stars or it won't work.

Christina 05-07-2009 02:13 PM

Nearly finished the first book.. well i have a few more chapters but it dosen't look alot

BigSister 05-07-2009 02:13 PM

The last few chapters are good in twlight:hello:

No problem, I wasn't having a go at you.

pinkmichk 05-07-2009 06:09 PM

wow fast reading
[spoil]i didnt like that jacob inprinted on reneesme either it just didnt seem right to me but i can understand why the book went that route cos he needed to be a part of bellas life even though he knew it wouldnt be with bella
i love the edward/jacob friendship and i laughed so much at all jacobs little digs at rosalie [/spoil]

Tom4784 05-07-2009 06:53 PM

I'm on Chapter 29 now, Should have it finished by tomorow.

[spoil] I'm really liking it at the moment, I was unsure if Bella as a vampire would work at the point they changed her because I thought the vamp Bella would lose a lot of Bella-isms (before I knew she was gonna change I expected it to happen at the very end). But it's worked very well I think. I'm very intrigued to see what a film Vamp Bella would look like as well as how they'd do Renesmee.

If they even do Breaking Dawn that is, I don't envy whoever has the task of adapting it into a 12A/PG-13. [/spoil]

pinkmichk 05-07-2009 06:58 PM

[spoil]i wasnt sure how bella the vamp would work but it does i really like where she picks up details and the time it takes her and stuff like that and the first hunting trip is one that if they do the film i want included
not a clue how they could do reneesme unless they go the cgi route cos of her being super fast growing [/spoil]

Tom4784 05-07-2009 08:33 PM

[spoil] Stephanie Meyers also said that, due to the fact no baby can ever be that self aware to act the part.

One line and scene that HAS to be in the film.

'You nicknamed my daughter after the lockness monster!?'

That whole bit made me laugh. [/spoil]

I put the spoilers as a quote then, I was like ARRRRRGGHGHG!!!!! Edit Edit Edit!

pinkmichk 05-07-2009 08:46 PM

:joker: i love that bit

i've just read on a blog that the actress who plays alice has said in a interview that they will be starting breaking dawn straight after eclipse :hello: they get the eclipse scripts next week

Tom4784 05-07-2009 08:52 PM

Ooooooh I wonder how much will be cut out?

[spoil] They'll do the birth scene from Bella's point of view so they can have her pass out I think so we won't see too much gore. I think the sex scenes will be like the books, fade to black scenes. I can see them changing the Renesmee/Jacob thing though or just make him overprotective of her and omit the details about imprinting. I could see the tabloid media making a mountain out of an ant hill with that one if they went down the imprint route.[/spoil]

pinkmichk 05-07-2009 08:56 PM

[spoil] i agree with all of that could work on the level as keeping it a suitable age and i reckon they prob will change the not only jacob and reneesme bit but the other wolf (name escapes me) who imprints on the 2 year old but seeing as i'm 25 i'm all for the older age if it means the book is stuck to better cos out of the 4 i think bd needs it the most as its the conclusion of it [/spoil]

Tom4784 05-07-2009 09:01 PM

[spoil] Yeah all the imprinting with kids stuff will probably go, I think Jacob's book will be condenced down as well. When I think about it, it could work but It'll be quite rushed I think. Plus the teenage rough sex and pregnancy will cause a stir with tabloids although they'll probably use it as an advertising tool.[/spoil]

pinkmichk 05-07-2009 09:08 PM

[spoil] the media will have a field day with bd espically if its at the same age the other 3 are but then given the main characters are 17/18 in book and its aimed at around the 16 age range (:blush2: makes me feel old to love a set of teen books  ) so in theory sex and pregnancy shouldnt be too much of a big deal espically given the fact its very obvious that its not true given that there isnt vamps and wolves in high schools over the world
just remembered another bit i want to see in the film the emmett and bella arm wrestle [/spoil]

Tom4784 05-07-2009 09:14 PM

[spoil] The problem is that tabloids will spin a story about anything as long as it sells papers, look at the sh*tstorm a prank phonecall from Jonathon Ross caused. Never undestimate how much control the papers have. I could see them using the film to run a few stories about BD being a bad influence to teenage girls because it influences them to have kids young or something stupid like that. Of course media like that can only help the film really.[/spoil]
