Good win for you that sue:thumbs:

BigSister 11-08-2007 03:58 PM

Yay we won 1-0 *. Him on soccer saturday hates us lol

Dan_ 11-08-2007 04:03 PM

We lost to 2-1 to those ***** Crawley, meant to be in debt but they sign all these players on good contracts, should have been kicked them out the league like they did to Boston.

2-0 down at half time due to silly defensive errors allowing Madjo to get two goals but a cracking effort from John Martin, on his debut made it 2-1.Try as we might we couldn't get an equaliser :bored:.Typical crap start to the season fro us .

BigSister 11-08-2007 04:09 PM

^glares* stupid Crawley i was shouting at the tv for you to get an equaliser

Dan_ 11-08-2007 04:16 PM

 cheers Becca,we had about 4 shots cleared off the line, lucky buggers.

Great result for Accrington though. Most seemed to be expecting Wycombe to win but it's a very good start for you, a win and a clean sheet!

BigSister 11-08-2007 04:30 PM

haha i knowwwww that guy on soccer saturday was like accrington have won against wycombe like oh you never had a chance to win against wycombe. Hopefully our defence have got better after last year but we drew and won against wycombe last year so we are pretty comfortable against them
Stupid players kicking it off line though how dare they!. Next match is against darlington apart from carling cup against leicster which im not hoping for anything i mean it would be nice to win but i would rather concentrate on the league this year. Simon should be pleased though we have oldham in that paint trophy thing at home

He had nothing to do today :joker:

Despite Sunderland looking absolutely woeful, Tottenham had nothing up front  and then Chopra netted an undeserved winner.

Looking at Sunderland's starting 11 and their performance, they are still going to struggle. Tottenham will have to improve ten fold to finish top 6

The Tevez deal is indeed concluded, won't play for over a week though.Too many premiership clubs seem to be waiting a while to get players in, can see loads of deals going through at the end of the transfer window now.

I've been fairly surprised by Voronin really, although only pre-season he's looked sharp and he's got a very good first touch.Kewell's done fairly well too, miracle if he stays fit.

Be of a strange move for Nilsson, how much did he go for?

We didn't even have to wait until the start of the season to see some diving, Luton players were well into last weekend.

Boateng said he'd be a gangster if he weren't a footballer, deary me.

You'll end up enjoying it when the proper games get going, always a skirmish or two in conf games.
They'll need Mido - Chopra only had once real touch and scored - Murphy and the other plum they had up front look wretched.

Clubs will still buy a few players once they have played 2 or 3 games as it will start to show weaknesses.

Voronin will be tested when the real games come in. Kewell will be injured and won't be back until a Cup Final

Nilsson went for around 2.5m I think

Good old diving. Can't wait for players to be punished after matches!

Boateng said that? :joker: Not a good start. Will be a target for many fans now :joker:

4-1 away at Altrincham today

Top of the league :joker:

InTheHood 11-08-2007 07:18 PM

Had to rely on Jeff Stelling saying that Gravesend have changed to Ebbsfleet United :laugh2:

Top Top Top of the league!

Heerenveen lost 1-3 to Espanyol in a pre-season friendly last night - I'm worried about this season. Maybe bottom half if we lose Afonso

On the footie forum I go on, everyone had Wycombe down for a win .Your defence was the main problem last year, never really had much trouble scoring goals but you seem to have improved on that over the summer.

We have Histon at home on tuesday, not long to wait to try and get a win on the board. The cups are often a distraction, to be honest I'd not really bother with the Carling Cup as it's not exactly one you can win.

BigSister 11-08-2007 07:51 PM

no thats what i mean it would be nice but i would rather lose.
lol did they well im not surprised really but *tuts*

It was odd not to see Chopra start after all that money they paid for him, he will certainly be in the starting line-up next game though.Murphy tried hard but was no threat and Stokes looks well out of place, shows how weak the Scottish league must be as he scored goals for fun whilst on loan to Falkirk?

It always seems to be the case that they panic buy after a bad start.

Kewell played no part for Liverpool today, injured already?

Good win for Exeter today, couple of goals in injury time to take you top of the league

Red Moon 12-08-2007 02:48 PM

Gald to see Southend were true to form against Layton Orient and lost as normal. What is it with that team they beat us every time. It not like they are better than us it's just some kind of mental block we have when we play them.

Of course it didn't help that McCormack was sent off after 58 minutes, you think he would have been more careful not to get a second booking after the first.

Dan_ 12-08-2007 05:54 PM

Every team seems to have a bogey side, ours has been Crawley for the last couple of season's.

BigSister 12-08-2007 05:56 PM

heh
I think ours was Peterbororugh last season we also do rubbish against Dagenham too think its the north/south thing though

Dan_ 12-08-2007 06:05 PM

Lol yeah, must be tough with away games if you have to travel miles away on the day of the game, most teams seem to stay the night beforehand now.

Dan_ 13-08-2007 12:24 PM

Well, they don't look like getting Mido, he looks very likely to be at Boro - fee agreed as are personal terms and is having a medical right now.

Sunderland could do well on the fact of coming up and doing a Wigan or Reading. McShane and Nosworthy played well on Saturday, but played above their level.

Still 2 weeks until end of transfer window, so plenty of time for clubs to buy.

Kewell is probably injured :joker: Wait until a cup final or big CL game :joker: Liverpool were lucky on Saturday after Gerrard's dive.

Top of the league and 1st home game tonight v Crawley :dance2:

Mido should do alright alongside Aliadere(sp?) but could this mean that Yakubu is on his way out?

Sunderland seem the best equipped of the new sides and will probably finish mid-table.Birmingham were quite good going forward but poor at the back.

I thought Liverpool outplayed Villa for much of the game.Petrov did get the ball but he was all over Gerrard in the process lol.

Crawley will be a difficult game, their defenders just cling onto strikers, not that the ref notices.Madjo and Pittman are quite lively upfront.
