..(I guess..) that maybe it appealed to two different audiences but didn't somehow connect/gel for many people..the storyline being one thing and very heavy going and then the action/fight parts...I'm only saying that because you say that you paid less attention to the story on the first viewing whereas my focus was more on the story, while still appreciating how the fight sequences worked along with it all...but it was definitely more the story focus for me...but yes, the robot train..the Samuri sword one was another that I thought was amazing ...

The Revenant - It was good but I was expecting it to be better. I'm glad Leo finally won his Oscar but tbh I thought Tom Hardy (who i didn't even recognise as Tom Hardy till Gav pointed it out) was the stand out performance of the film 7/10

ETA :

Spoiler:

That Bear fight was an amazing scene and terrifying.

10, Cloverfield Lane. Loved it! Just when you think you have it all figured out there's a big shocker of an ending

Can't wait to see these films^^^^

I saw Zootropolis yesterday, very good film. Lots of likeable characters, good plot line - and it had my daughter in tears. 7/10

Yeah I'm not saying Leos performance in it wasn't good but I could think of performances he's put in that were better and more deserving of the Oscar, like in Django Unchained for example

Isn't that the joke, though? He's put in a tonne of Oscar-worthy performances over the years and yet has been overlooked every time :joker:

Tbh, I think that happens an awful lot.

Loads of actors who deserve Oscars have won one for the wrong role/film.

He barely even needed a script for The Revenant

Captain America: The First Avenger - 8.5/10

Firewire 09-04-2016 07:22 PM

Zootropolis

9/10 was so good

Amy Jade 09-04-2016 08:54 PM

Pandemic

A search and rescue team is sent into the quarantined city of Los Angeles to extract a busload of uninfected after a virus breaks out turning the world's population into ravenous zombie-like-killers.

I quite enjoyed it, I liked how it was shot partly as a regular movie and partly from the cameras mounted on the teams helmets. I loved the cast too and there are a few twists thrown in there.

Wild - Reese Witherspoon goes on the journey of her lifetime to find herself and to deal with her addictions and the grief of losing her mum, she walks 1000 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail - a beautiful and moving film.....8.5/10

Insomnia - Robin Williams plays a serious role as a child killer and Al Pacino as a cop who's trying to nail him....but he has his own demons. A good old fashioned thriller, Hilary Swank is excellent, Robin Williams is brilliant, and Al Pacino is mesmerising! 9/10

Good Will Hunting - Rewatch, this movie was a nostalgia rewatch and it was actually even better than I remembered it to be, loved it so much 9.5/10
