If 64.1 million are in the UK, and only 1.5 million people watch Big Brother...

zakman440 16-08-2014 02:51 PM

I'm kind of interested to see how many tuned out when Helen was announced as the winner.

erinp5 16-08-2014 03:02 PM

The Big Brother final was viewed by an average of 1.53 million (8.3%) on Channel 5.

The live finale, which was won by Helen Wood, attracted a peak audience of 1.62 million (9.3%) as the winner was announced.

Not bad at all for bots - shows that temper tantrums weren't really had after the announcement.

Poor rating.. but totally deserved. Don't get me wrong, I want the show to do better, but equally I feel the producers of the show deserve p*** poor ratings.. I want their fate to follow suit with Brian Dowling's!

I'll be surprised if the official figure raises much further.. people we're happy that Helen won - me included. But it's sure to create either great or terrible ratings for CBB i.e. loads of BB talk over the weekend.. but will people stay after a 'bully' was crowned?

Not a great peak either.. Secrets and Lies was the best imo BB should just stop with the themes though, they add very little despite arguments and secret houses that half the HMs already caught onto in the first few weeks.

Viacom, if you're reading, sort this mess out!

ruiphillips 17-08-2014 07:49 AM

lmao what kind of piss poor ratings. BB is done.

Kai Anders 17-08-2014 07:25 PM

This year achieved an average of 1.24million overnight viewing figures and a share of 6.5%

Viacom if they have figured out, Big brother was the reason channel 5 went from a net loss in 2010 to earning all throughout 2011/14.
So they will keep the show but after the performance of this one.

THEY NEED TO FIX WHATS GOING WRONG. They have had 3 seasons to test what works and need to go with the goods and cut the bads.
Clearly the show can do very well, if done right, the main show could easily manage 1.9-2.5 million if done right.
The CBB can easily manage 2.7-3.8 a night if done right last the last one.

I feel the exact same need to cut out all the bad parts

Anyone got officials yet?

daniel-lewis-1985 18-08-2014 03:39 PM

Officials are in, annoyingly only 3 contain +1!!! Can someone update if they find them.

Very poor week even without +1 I believe its the lowest so far with a weekly average of 1.40 excluding +1

Tuesday - 1.42
Wednesday - 1.46 (excluding +1)
Thursday - 1.45 (excluding +1)
Friday - 1.48 (excluding +1)
Saturday - 1.26
Sunday - 1.61

Weekly average 1.40

*mazedsalv** 19-08-2014 06:48 PM

Monday- 1.58m incl +1
Tuesday- 1.42m incl +1
Wednesday- 1.52m incl +1
Thursday- 1.54m incl +1
Friday- 1.53m incl +1
Saturday- 1.26m incl +1
Sunday- 1.61m incl +1

Meh.

daniel-lewis-1985 25-08-2014 05:38 PM

Has no one got the officials that were released today for the last week of BB15?

I really want to see how the finale performed.

Samm 26-08-2014 01:34 PM

Don't know if this is including +1

BIG BROTHER (FRI 2102) 1.73
BIG BROTHER (WED 2200) 1.63
BIG BROTHER (THU 2200 1.49
BIG BROTHER (TUE 2159) 1.48
BIG BROTHER (MON 2100) 1.36

Kai Anders 26-08-2014 05:03 PM

Overall officials stand at 1.56m viewers. Officially the least watched.

Terrible hope Viacom give it a shakeup next year

*mazedsalv** 26-08-2014 05:46 PM

Those were without +1. Here are the figures...

Monday- 1.57m incl +1
Tuesday- 1.61m incl +1
Wednesday- 1.71m incl +1
Thursday- 1.57m incl +1
Friday (final)- 1.77m incl +1

1.58m official.

The final was 10k above BB13 final so it just escaped by the skin of its teeth! So BB13 still remains the lowest rated BB final with 1.76m.

MattHooper 26-08-2014 06:00 PM

Does the official average get rounded up to 1.6m, matching BB12 and BB13? Or will it stay at 1.58?

Could have been a lot worse. Hopefully lessons will be learnt for next year. :)

Cal. 26-08-2014 07:18 PM

Good if it beat BB13 final!

Piss poor finale rating and deservedly the lowest rated BB to date. The highlights should be getting 1.5 overnight imo and officials should be around 1.8 per episode but a final at 1.77? That is depressing.

Please none of you glass half full people round it up to 1.6 because it didn't get that.

Its got one last shot, seriously theres only so many lives this show can have. Heres to Viacom and that BB survey holding a positive influence and bringing back live feed and normal nominations.

I think this proves less is more.
