Fargo is fantastic! One of my favourite films! No Country for old Men is great and I recorded Raising Arizona recently and then deleted it by accident :(

I'll keep my eyes open for The Man who Wasn't There though.. :)

"The Good Earth" with Paul Muni based on the book by Pearl Buck - it was made about 70 years ago about Chinese peasants eking out an existence in rural China, but it never fails to make me cry. It doesn't sound very exciting but I promise you it is a totally engrossing film with lots of drama.

Admiral, a Russian film following Admiral Kolchaks career as a naval officer in WWI and as Supreme Commander for the White Army in the Russian Civil War.

Showing my inner history nerd watching this but it was good - 8/10

(500) Days of Summer

It's unusual. It strikes me as your run-of-the-mill 'indie' movie, but I found myself in this movie more than I'd like to have done. It's funny in all of the right places, the characters are relatable, and the soundtrack is beautiful.

I guess it's nice to have a rom-com without the conventional happy ending. I definitely know two people who represent the main characters as well. aaaaah ****it, I love it.

Triangle starring Melissa George.
One of the weirdest movies ive ever seen but quite good considering i didnt have a clue what was happening.

Hard not to like that film even though beforehand I wasn't looking forward to it at all. Still though, doubt I'll watch it again.

You're forgetting the Big Lebowski and Miller's Crossing. Tut tut.

Monsters - 3/10 - Far to dragged out and boring, it focuses on the 2 main characters far too much, when someone finds out were the monsters actually were in this film let me know  it was a waste of 90 minutes imo:bored:

Buried.

Amazing how tense things can get in a wooden box.

GypsyGoth 04-10-2010 11:03 PM

The Hole 3D, it was a lot creepier than I expected.

Mac Hiavellian 04-10-2010 11:23 PM

Fargo. Was a strange one because I thought William H Macy was the main character but then a whole 45 minutes in to it he takes a big back seat while Frances McDormand suddenly appeared from nowhere and took over.
Was an alright film.

Beastie 06-10-2010 09:49 PM

Natural Born Killers. Was good.

Zippy 07-10-2010 12:31 AM

X-men 3; the final stand.

Had it for ages but only just got round to watching it! Entertaining enough but not as good as X2. Vinnie Jones hilariously awful.

Oh I love that film!! Thought Macy's character was brilliant in it! :)

My girlfriend's boyfriend, it was rubbish and confusing. Shame I love Alyssa Milano :(

Shaun 07-10-2010 12:37 AM

Bandslam.

Just....carcrash. Even having David Bowie referenced throughout couldn't salvage it.

An excellent film. Yes I found it strange how Frances McDormand was billed as the main character but didn't appear until almost halfway through the film???

Just watched Serpico on Sky Movies, (had seen it before). Wasn't a big fan of the film the first time around but remembered Pacino being amazing in it so gave it another watch, and it was a lot better on the rewatch. Would probably just scrape into my top 10 Pacino movies.
