You can get these plastic veneers I think Nath, I got one for my Ipod to stop the screen getting scratched, can get them for phones as well

Just peel off the back and stick em on, don't even know they're there but they protect the screen.

My Nano is well battered from being in my bag all the time lol

I got one of those little socks for it but it pissed me off after a while having to keep getting it out and putting it away again
