He over-acts throughout... but then, he does in quite a few films. It's fine for some things, but doesn't really work in something as dark as Seven.

Funnily enough, I liked Sliding Doors too. But more for the plot than her. :hehe:

She's so irritating in everything else though.

Just like George Clooney, he's the epitome of "movie star" rather than actual actor. They both have very limited talent in the acting department. They just got lucky.

I wasn't overly impressed with Deadpool either, i think it was over hyped. I'm going to watch Gone Girl but i've heard quite a few bad reviews even though it got 80 something % on rotten tomatoes.

Gone Girl had loads of potential, even though it's a pretty ludicrous plot, but they clearly struggled knowing how to wrap it all up.

Yeah, the things I really liked him in called for a bit of over acting like Fight Club, Inglorious Bastards and my personal favourite moment of his.limited as it was True Romance

Oh yeah the plot I mean too just because it's something I always used to think about, if I'd done something slightly different in a day would it change the course of my life

Yes and there's a great cast voicing the characters. Love Bill Murray :hee:

A couple of days ago I watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

I've got to say that I really enjoyed the plot, and some of the character dynamics were fun, and of course the iconic Music from the Video Games were cool.

The negatives however was dodgy dubbing, and Tifa being irritating for the first quarter of the Film I'll say.

The Jungle Book. It was really good. Visually is a real treat, so better watch it on 3d. Voice cast did an amazing job and I also liked the newcomer who played Mogli. Some twats next to me almost spoiled it by constantly sniggering at everything :fist:, but overall I had a great time :hee:

I really want to see this film, and like yourself and Niamh i love Bill Murray:love:

I hate it when you get rude twats either in front or next to you at the cinema:fist:

Watched Stir Crazy last night - A great 80's movie, but then again i like Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor  (i would actually put this down as a classic) :hee:

8/10

I watched it with subtitles as soon as it was released in Japan... then re-watched the English dub when it came out.

Wish I'd just stuck with the Japanese version :joker:

I normally always watch the Japanese versions too, but the link that I went with had it as a dub so I just stuck with it.

John Wick - A film you can watch without much thought, just have a bottle and popcorn and you'll be well away! 7/10

Watched that Netflix movie Hush - 9/10 - was really surprised at how good it was and it took a slightly different route from your standard horror/thriller type movies.

The Theory of Everything - An astonishing, touching, thoughtful portrait of the amazing Stephen Hawking, this film is inspirational yet sad, a horrible disease that has taken his body yet left his brilliant mind - Eddie Redmayne is brilliant and deserved the Oscar and many awards he won for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

10/10

Denver 22-04-2016 10:48 PM

Alvin Chipmunks new one pretty much a let down

rubymoo 27-04-2016 05:27 PM

The Usual Suspects - A confusing 5/10 (I've left a review in the Tibb classic movies thread).

American Sniper 10/10

Absolutely brilliant, this film captures the horror of war and the effects of post traumatic stress, heart breaking throughout and heart breaking ending :(

Vanessa 27-04-2016 05:43 PM

Quo Vado, an Italian comedy. Had me laughing out loud all the way through

Sticks 27-04-2016 06:43 PM

Eye in the Sky 9/10

Alan Rickman's last film, and they did a touching memorial to him on the final credits.

Brilliant how they showed the moral cowardice of politicians always wanting someone else to make a decision and tying the hands of those they send into a war theatre.

Also the only film I have seen that references the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme
