SO yesterday was the hottest every day recorded in the UK as Cambridge Botanic grdens climate station recorded 38.7C. Climate stations are recorded manually and are not automatic like say Heathrow and all the ones you heard about yesterday and it takes a few days for the data to be collated and uploaded.

There is (as in 2003) some issues about the sighting of the screen at this location and as i type this i am not sure of it will be official or not. That said the site of this screen is in a lot better location than the Faversham one that was adopted as the official record back in 2003 (sheltered behind a huge hedge :skull:) and its better than fecking Heathrow next to all that tarmac.I shall update as I hear more .

update they just mentioned this on radio 2 and that the MO are looking into it

We had rain overnight, but nothing like they forecast I don't think and no gale force winds as yet :laugh:

i'm glad sunday is gonna be dry, not too warm since i'm going with my parents and aunt (my dad's sister) to a zoo or sort of zoo, it mostly has birds, Parrots but also a few apes,

Hope its ok Saturday as hubby is taking his nephew to Bloodstock,so hopefully not too much rain, but we've had a good soaking today.
