After that, you have to take everything he says with a large pinch of salt

what do you mean - what you have said above is that he said something a few weeks ago and he said it again as his opinion has not changed?

If the numbers start to rise (the important one; deaths) without a corresponding rise in Scotland, or if after a few months there's no difference in the numbers (scaled for population size), then we'll have our answer I guess.

but in Scotland it was never law to isolate it was only guidance

bots 22-02-2022 03:42 PM

it was law surely, thats why there was all the fuss about margaret covid getting the train. It was illegal in england and scotland

Cineworld is doing tickets for 3 pounds on Saturday. :amazed:
Got a ticket for Uncharted. Will be wearing my mask, as it looks like it will be crowded.

Vanessa that sounds like a nightmare if it's crowded though , i imagine it will be.
But it's nice to get to the cinema once in a while, i saw James bond movie last Autumn despite it being fairly busy.

We need to go back to our normal lives. Of course we still need to be careful. I always wear masks indoors.

Yuck, cinema on a Saturday. Weekday early afternoon is the best time for a cinema trip, it's basically empty :smug:.

We went to the kid's morning special thing on Sunday, all 4 of us for £10, Encanto. Wasn't too busy. Kids have seen it already on Disney+ of course but I have to say, it was definitely much better in the cinema.

I still see the occasional person ( usually female for some reason) walking through town or the country wearing a mask OUTSIDE !!

I’ve never understood that at all ... similarly when someone driving a car with no passengers drives past wearing a mask !!?!

What’s that all about ??

Pharmacy Boots will begin selling single Covid tests for £5.99 from Wednesday, despite free kits being available via the NHS until 1 April.

Customers can purchase a pack of four lateral flow tests online for £17, or one test for £5.99, including delivery.

Next month people can buy them in-store for £12 for a pack of five.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday announced a "Living with Covid" plan, which will end free testing and scrap self-isolation rules and payments.

Asif Aziz, director of healthcare services at Boots UK, said: "We are pleased to be expanding our Covid-19 testing services even further, with affordable lateral flow testing options for those who still want peace of mind from asymptomatic testing after 1 April."

The company said the earlier launch date was to prepare both supply chains and customers ahead of the end of free testing.
