Not forecast by the UK Met Office at mo. Next week is messy so could change but nothing as yet. The problem is that both Mon and Tues is rain but if you are over 500 feet it's snow.

It's an icon forecasts. Unreliable. It has to chose an icon based on an algorithm. It may snow for a bit but it's mostly rain

Crimson Dynamo 06-02-2020 09:35 AM

The UKMO have firmed up slightly for Monday into Tuesday for snow

"Frequent and heavy snow showers will affect the region throughout Monday and
at first on Tuesday. Snow showers will mainly be over high ground. Slight
accumulations of 1 to 3 cm above 150 metres and 5-10 cm above 300 metres.
Strong winds, gusting 50-60 mph, will lead to blizzard conditions at times and
considerable drifting of lying snow. Frequent lightning strikes are also possible,
perhaps leading to interruptions to power supplies.D:"

The jet stream is running at 260mph at mo and it will be 210mph over us

The low (at mo) is running over N Scotland so the nasty bit (to the south of the center) goes over us - but its going to affect the whole UK and cause a lot of problems sat into sun and then we have Monday into Tuesday and a snow issue. You should get gusts of 60mph on both sat and sunday and that is a lot and will damage stuff. The coasts will get 80-90mph

Crimson Dynamo 07-02-2020 12:14 PM

Amber warnings now issued
