Prole 19-08-2009 10:08 PM

I'm not sure 'telling it like it is' is a geographical thing.

guigy 19-08-2009 10:10 PM

she does not tell it how it is, she tell's it how she thinks it is.
She thinks she is in a prison and has to stay in as long as possible to get free fags and do her time before getting released. She tells housemates stuff that turn them against each other,
she is a vile and disgusting person.

Yeah, I've been to Yorkshire... and a lot of other places. You don't have the monopoly on plain speaking.

BBmassive 19-08-2009 10:14 PM

Unfortunately, I find that people who are proud of "telling it like it is" think it's a good thing to blurt out every half-baked thought that enters their head and call it "speaking their mind". Speaking the truth is good, but you have to temper it with a little tact.

I'm not talking specifically about Yorkshire people here...

I've never heard that. So hypothetically, let's say I live just on the border of Yorkshire and it's within 1 footstep of my house I don't tell it how it is because I'm not from Yorkshire. That's the most absurd thing I've heard in a long time.

Not quite, I was just, well, telling it how it is. It really is a stupid thing to say in my opinion.
