Flabby Tummy on Sexy Model
sure is Sign Of The Times.

Tom 03-09-2009 12:54 PM

where shes not fat by any means, this is the reason for airbrushing especially in advertisements

arista 03-09-2009 12:56 PM

The old hags on loose women
claim it was bad taste
saying you focus on the flabby tummy more.

supernoodles! 06-09-2009 12:21 AM

The old hags on LW are sour old mares.Personally Im not fussed either way tbh if they use 'imperfect' models in magazines or not.

Dr.Gonzo 06-09-2009 01:32 PM

There's nothing wrong with it at all. Sure, you get skinny birds, but women with wobbly bits are equally as sexy. Sometimes moreso ;)

30stone 06-09-2009 01:40 PM

Keira Knightly

The picture of her further down the page...

She looks amazing even though very airbrushed.

bansheewails 06-09-2009 01:41 PM

At least it looks like a real woman and not some half starved orphan child

Twilight 09-09-2009 03:18 AM

Well i think its nice because she actually looks like a real woman and i can't atually believe that its says she is considered too big to model even plus-size lines I mean wtf is up with this world can't people be real anymore.

Jackie 09-09-2009 08:16 AM

Perhaps these sort of pictures should be shown more in magazines then we wouldn't have half the female population starving themselves.

Skinnier models are still "real women" most of them aren't overly skinny they just take good care of their body.

Having bones sticking out at all angles is not just taking good care of your body...

When you look at normal models most don't though? Most are slim and healthy. Im not against this but i just dislike how the term "real woman" is used since they are all real women.

And even when people are perfectly healthy (still skinny) people say they look unhealthy.

Fom 09-09-2009 12:14 PM

I agree with people not getting thin people confused with skinny, they are just healthy and proves how you look when you look after your body. Now obviously the thing is the normal woman, the woman with children and a job doesn't have time to look after her body so yes it is refreshing to see that reflection in papers.

Is it nice to look at? I will be honest and say no, but it is nice to see it is being accepted more. She isn't fat anyway, she looks like she has a lot of loose skin.

Enid 09-09-2009 12:33 PM

Healthy "looking" models should represent the average woman. Most of us are not skinny. Most of us have *ahem* extra baggage. Why should we have to stare at these boney bodies when most women don't actually look like that! We might as well have some robotic mannequins.

Then you can apply the same to males. Most men don't have bodies like CK models or whatever, so why should those men have to look at them models?

Its just all about advertising. You're more likely to buy something advertised by a good looking skinny model than an ugly fat model because subconsciously you want to be like her. Again same applies to men.

30stone 09-09-2009 01:00 PM

Yeah Agree Tom.

Main point i was making is i dislike how they are "unhealthy" or not "real women" because they are skinny.
Plenty of women who have had kids and a job still look great. They look after their body shouldn't be put down for that.

Vicky. 09-09-2009 02:56 PM

Its the likes of supermodels I have a problem with, the majority of them you can tell they starve themselves to look the way they do. Yet people still say it is sexy.

It is just as vile having bones sticking out of you as being obese. In my opinion anyway.

Yes of course. Didn't say it doesn't apply to men as well.

But I'm not saying supermodels should be replaced by big ugly slobs. I'm saying the wo(men) should be of a more realistic size. The clothing they wear are also designed for wo(men) of that particular frame, and that is perhaps 5% of the population? (don't correct me on that, just trying to get my point across XD)

Tom 09-09-2009 05:36 PM

I wasn't correcting, having a go or anything I was just developing what you said

Yeah for sure alot of them are. but this isn't that sort of modelling.
Some of them are too skinny even for me supermodels.. that is somthign that should change.

I also dislike how people who are obease insult those who are not necessarily skinny/ unhealthy, saying that they are, as oviously being obease is as bad if not worse.

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 01:01 AM

that isnt nice its just flabby loose skin... I do like plus size models though...in all honesty i like girls to have a bit of weight on them, dont like skinny girls :yuk:

Tom 10-09-2009 10:54 AM

^ Skinny isn't healthy or looking after your body, but slim is

[/rquote]

For me it depends on how you view the term "skinny"
I view it as, being skinny is perfectly fine and healthy.
