Facebook / Bebo / chat rooms / friends reunited...I must admit I have a facebook page which I log in most nights but more or less to catch up with actual mates whO i am seening or random chit chat with mates over the pond..............I am not addicted, I tend to long in at work and surf lovely clothings sites :) and catch up on news however I have a healthy life - anyone feel addicted to net?

I think if your spending too much time on the net and not doing things in life you should be doing because of it its a problem, maybe possibly escaping your problems in real life and that can lead to you being depressed yes

When you have nothing else you do,the internet can become a bit addictive. I would know,don't think it makes you depressed though. Chatting to people on here cheers me up a lot of the time.

If you're that way inclined, anything can make you depressed. The internet isn't the problem. Some of the people using it are.

The net is a good escape, especially for watching docs and that. I think the kids growing up in the 90's were the last generation without the full force of the net and technology. I mean now, kids grow up with wii's that does their excerise for them.

I think Facebook/Bebo et al can be depressing as it is rather fake. It over-eggs the "friends" aspect of life. It can bring out the narcissistic aspect of ones personality.

I cherish the days with internet though ................. barbies and building go karts, conkers etc look at everything we had - no computer games. No kids come in and "log on"

I had a go on second life a couple of years ago and had a blast. Not because it's good, but because people take it so seriously.
