Do you regret your GCSE choices?

If so, why?
I don't really regret the ones I've chosen, they're things I like and I'm generally good at, so...

ugh gcse's seem so long ago now

Callum 28-04-2010 09:09 PM

I regret taking French and History to be honest. I think I've done well in both but I haven't really enjoyed either, maybe History a bit but French has been awful. I wish I would've been able to take Drama and Media Studies but I had to choose one.

Enid 28-04-2010 09:10 PM

Stacey. 28-04-2010 09:10 PM

What would you have rather taken, though?

Tom 28-04-2010 09:12 PM

No, GCSE's weren't challenging and won't get you anywhere specific in life.

That's alright. You don't even need a job now. Just get pregnant when you leave school. The government will put a roof over your head and give you more than enough money, so you'll never need to work a day in your life!

xDramatick 28-04-2010 09:15 PM

Not at all.
I took Music, Drama, ICT & French.

I regret not being able to take Dance [I did ask if I could do an extra one but was refused] however I wouldn't have traded anything for it.

30stone 28-04-2010 09:27 PM

No i regret not trying.. lol

Sarah. 28-04-2010 09:27 PM

I regret taking German, because I absolutely hated it and it was so difficult for me.. But I worked hard in the end and I got a B. But I rather would've done something else.

*mazedsalv** 28-04-2010 09:35 PM

Yes I wish I didnt take History and Business.... Business i got an E in and was my only deemed fail... would have done Geograpghy instead.

And I regret my ICT A Level choice, but come 2 weeks time, I will have my exam and then drop it and never EVER do it again as im dropping it and keeping Media, Film and Photograpghy.

Princess 28-04-2010 10:51 PM

I regret taking Business instead of Music, that's about it.

InOne 28-04-2010 10:54 PM

Nah not really.

Beastie 28-04-2010 10:56 PM

I think maybe I should have chosen Food or ICT at GCSE. However I did enjoy the choices I did.. RE and Geography and usually Drama but in Drama just got nervous because of all the popular people and that.

Stacey. 28-04-2010 10:57 PM

We have to do ICT nowadays, i dont get it :\

Lol I did that until year 9.. then didn't do it at GCSE.. and I have only done ICT in Key Skills.. however I think I should have done it at GCSE because a lot of jobs nowadays require IT skills. However in the job I do.. only use a computer to scan things and that's it.. but still ICT skills are beneficial eventhough at times seem boring.

MrGaryy 28-04-2010 11:15 PM

no not really actually. I really hated French but I was forced into it and the other three I generally enjoyed/found easy so it's all good.

Jessica. 28-04-2010 11:44 PM

haha Junior Cert in Ireland is the equivalent to GCSE, I did 11 subjects and did pretty well. I don't regret anything :)
