Can anyone explain this, medical school and Sunshine, not true?

How is it that Sunshine has said she is at medical school but that her GCSE grades were QUOTE - "rubbish", when she was talking to Govan. She also said that her Mum died when she was 17 and telephoned med school to get her, which means Sunshine is saying she went into med school no later than 18 - BUT, how is she then saying at 24 she hasn't done her final year (as she is currently taking a year out, and doing her final year in 2011) Med school doesn't last that long, even with a year out!

I have two friends who got into med school, it is the most competitive place there is, you DON'T GET IN WITH RUBBISH GRADES AND A PHONE CALL FROM YOUR MUM - even if she is dying. And anyway, with 'rubbish' grades Sunshine just wouldn't hack it at Med school, what were her A levels like then??? If she can't do GCSEs well!!!!!

Another thing, no serious med student takes a year out from med school - it just doesn't happen!!!! (Cue all the Sunshine fans swearing they know loads of people who have -blah blah)

And Sunshine also says that her Mum dying inspired her to go to med school, why? Doctors don't cure cancer. Why not be a research scientist if that is way she felt? Being a doctor won't do any good in that department. And how come her mother's death inspired her to become a doctor but it was her mother's phone call (or cash donation?) that got her into med school.

None of what Sunshine says about med school makes sense, and it was pretty nasty of her to screw over her dad for a car (lying about her car to get a new one for Uni) while he was suffering the grief of losing his wife to cancer.

Which med school is she at anyway?

Hmmm interesting points. It seemed she was trying to milk her sob story even more to me as well. Going for the cancer vote.

First, leave dying mother out. Second, medical school takes quite long, it ain't no driving license.

Really isn't it? WOW thanks for that info smartypants. LOL.

Look, Sunshine played the deceased mother card so anyone can comment on it. One of them was going to play the "my mother...blah blah" card, and she had to up on last years 'mum in coma' card.

Med school does not take 7-8 years! Sunshine is full of it.

It's low that she played it. Everybody who watches BB knows that kind of thing stinks with viewers.

Sunshine never misses an opportunity to remind everyone of her mother dying. Btw, it is SEVEN YEARS since her mother died. People lose people they love, using to get sympathy on TV is low.

She played no card, it was just brought up. Im not keen on sob stories myself because they influence votes however that was what Charlie did last year on every possible occasion.

Well it's only the start. Also her tone of voice didn't help either.

Abhorsen 16-06-2010 05:51 PM

Also, how is Sunshine so keen on medicine BUT she wants to go into politics? That She wants to be a Tory Prime minister one day!!!!

How will politics help her mother who died? Or does a 'medical degree' story just fit into her lies for sympathy at the moment.

MeMyselfAndI 16-06-2010 05:52 PM

well my sister is still at med school and shes 25
:wavey:
it can take 7 years

MeMyselfAndI 16-06-2010 05:53 PM

so dont try and make her a liar

chuff me dizzy 16-06-2010 05:55 PM

I noticed this too ,she was flitting from being a thicko to being medical student ,I do not know, but I am certain you would need great A`s to get in ,and as you say ,no way did her mother ring and get her in

She was asked about her jewellery and told the meaning behind them, quite nice that they mean something to her rather than just look good. And Govan said she might be portrayed as a victim and she replied that she never wants to be a victim, not even after all the bad times shes had.

Will have to see if she brings it up all the time if she stays, if so. :nono: But I do believe she wasnt trying to play some 'card' and was just explaining those situations.

Shasown 16-06-2010 06:03 PM

I dont know about her school record, current courses, other than what she has said herself and personally I think she is wonderful. I am so glad after watching her sing in the house Simon Cowell is going to fast track her through next years X factor, I think it was the sob story that really clinched it for her.

What? are you kidding?

And it was straight from her horses mouth that she said HER GCSES GRADES WERE RUBBISH - no one gets into med school with rubbish grades - doesn't happen full stop.

Wow, what a coincidence she was wearing all that 'meaningful' jewellery in the house for her to casually mention all the time. LOL.

Oh yeah would have to agree! Low gameplay that is.

Captain.Remy 16-06-2010 06:09 PM

I don't know how it works in Britain but in France, meds school lasts between 9 and 11 years.

Yeah, it's upped the stakes from Charlie's sick mum last year.
