Why do people keep saying they want "Good looking" housemates?
 

Seems a big complain about the new housemates (in in particular the new male housemate) is that they are not good looking.

Why do people want good looking housemates so badly? I find that good looking people tend to be more dull than average/ugly ones. Because good looking people don't need to develop a personality as they can rely on their looks to get them by in life.

p.s. obviously i am generalizing, there are exceptions.

A lot of good lookin' girls end up doin' porn, so suck on that good lookin' girls... literally! :laugh2:

Looks mean nothing to me.. but what attracts me to a HM is personality & SOH without that all you have is something to look at.. if they are 'good looking' (in some peoples opinions) but as about as fun as a skidmark. thats no good at all

Never judge a book by its cover and all that.. I do not go by looks infact none of my posts ever diss a HM about looks (ok so Corin but only cos she looks like she has been tango'd) but as a person I think she is fab :D

If you seriously don't know the meaning of the word Shallow there are far more important things for you to be doing than posting on a TV show forum such as learning.

Yeah, I don't get why people think 'ugly' equates boring.

Good looking HMs can have a great affect on the others. They stir up lust and jealousy.

And sometimes its nice just to ogle. Silly to start pretending that good looks don't have a powerful affect on society. They just do.

I just want a another sexy man in there so I have someone to drool over. I want someone like Dale or Stuart please. :D And I really don't care if I'm called shallow for that. ;)

Good looking housemates are good for a number of reasons

1 A good looking guy or two creates tension within the house and also keeps the female fans watching and some of the gay viewers

2 Good looking girls in the house keep the guys watching and create bitchy agruments and keeps entertainment going on instead of BB4 where everyone was just snoozing all the time and yawning and moaning about ketchup and reading talk about a borefest:sleep:

I have found that this year aside from rachal none of the girls have been really attractive (well josie is quite pretty, and sunshine was alright in a wierd kind of way) but there have been none that i "fancy"

But yet it has been the most entertaining series for me. The hot girls that have gone in there in the past tend to be less entertaining and just more attention seeking and looking for a career as a "model" in nuts or zoo or gash or whatever these lads mags are called.

I'm happy with the 'average' looking bunch this year.

It's not like the ugly ones are entertaining this year. At least with pretty people you get something back for your money.

Even if its just a cheap thrill when they change their pants or emerge from the pool.

Me too, although I'm lucky cos John-James is in there, and I guess do fancy him lol :love: But the rest of the blokes are ugly. I guess Nathan could pass as shagable but after he showed his true colours on Tuesday I've hated him ever since.

And yeah I like this years bunch too! And I have to agree with you, all the women seem to be a lot less attention seeking/do some sort of topless lads mag shoot when they get out.

That's just sad though. Like in some of the old BBs' housemates have ran naked, banged it out in the pool and all sorts. How is that good? It's sad and pathetic and I feel sorry for them doing such stupid things live on television for nothing.

If I find that entertaining then I am a shallow idiot who doesn't care for philosophical conversations and other genuinely interesting things. Luckily that's not the case.

People are generally shallow.
