Yet another task where Steve is given centre stage as 'abjudicator'

Task after task after task... talk about a free ride.

Even in the task he was massively suited for, the wheelchair B Ball, he got a free pass as a trainer/ ref to the party.

Anything to keep him center stage it seems.

I hate 'positive discrimination' personally.

I already said the same thing somewhere! lol another party for the poor "hero"

InOne 19-07-2010 06:19 PM

What is the task?

This:

Today we will find out who the toughest housemate is as they go head-to-head in 'Tug-O-War'.

Two housemates are pitched against each other in a simple tug-o-war. However, instead of pulling a rope, housemates each wear a pair of tights over their heads (tied together at the feet) and must use their body strength to pull each other across lines on opposite sides of the garden.

Steve is the adjudicator and will pair up all housemates deciding who will take each other on. At their turn, each pair must pull the tights over their faces and hold them there for the duration of the tug-o-war round.

Each tug-o-war begins with both housemates at equal distance from a line down the centre of the garden, standing back to back. They move away from each other slowly until the tights are taut. Once the bell sounds, the housemates must use all their body strength to pull their opponent. The winner is the first to step over the line on their side. Steve, as adjudicator, will announce the winner of each round.

As a prize for winning, the successful housemates will join Steve in attending a winners’ party tonight.

So it's all to play for, who do you think will be partying tonight?

Shasown 19-07-2010 06:24 PM

Surely to be fair to Steve and the other housemates they should allow him to attend only alternate winners parties?

I don't know... let me think... STEVE MAYBE?

InOne 19-07-2010 06:24 PM

Steve doesn't need to be at every party does he

luvJJ 19-07-2010 06:25 PM

Yawn. I'm disappointed that they haven't chosen some cerebral or other non-physical skill tasks which Steve could take part in, and show us what he's actually made of.

Why?

Omah 19-07-2010 06:28 PM

Yeah, BB's "support" for steve is becoming blatant now - the truth is that he cannot function as a full housemate and participate in the physical challenges attached to that role, so he's getting a "free ride" on the sympathy vote in the house .....

Beastie 19-07-2010 06:29 PM

I agree. I think it would be fair.. if.. Steve made a prediction on who would win? if he got it right.. he goes to the party.. if not.. he doesn't go!!

coolestrock 19-07-2010 06:29 PM

he's only done the robot task when he whisked eggs,,,,,i didnt understand why he of all ppl couldnt take part in the wheelchair task (very strange)

Cant have our heroic bionic man Steve "Austin" Gill take part in any tasks that might show him in a bad light, the robot task was bad enough when he started gobbing off at Titan.

Also there was that task a while ago, the backwards day, where he got really really angry. Bet quite a few have forgot that.

To have a HM actually take part in a task? That would be proper BB

joeysteele 19-07-2010 08:04 PM

Thats why the tasks should be also given a intellectual side to them too, Clearly Steve cannot do major run of the mill physical tasks but there are loads of other aspects to tasks he could do, It is a kind of free rode for him at present and judging, adjudicating and just watcking over teams or deciding who is in what team is not ''doing'' the tasks.
I just think really we the public have little way of judging Steve on anything other than his personal behaviour towards other housemates and thats getting rather sick to watch in some areas. He could have done the Ben task of stand up comedy to the crowd so tasks could be made around him but be tasks he 'does' rather than oversees' and /or watches others doing them.
