Films you can constantly rewatch...
Ok, we all have our favourite movies of all time, but was just wondering if members had a certain few films that they can repeatedly watch, time and again, no matter how favoured they are by critics or not.
What are the films that you enjoy watching again from time to time? The ones that feel like a pair of old shoes or slacks, that always make you feel warm and content..... |

The Warriors The Wanderers Friday (any of them) Once upon a time in America A Bronx Tale Small Faces Half Baked Boys in the hood POTC (any of them) Theres lots more I just cant remember them just now  |

Oh I havn't watched that in ages! I loved that movie.

I'm generally not a big fan of rewatching movies, but when I saw Breathless recently for what must have been the 20th time, I would have to choose that.
Amadeus is very rewatchable too, as is the Last Emperor. |

Strangely I've rewatched A Nightmare on Elm Street compulsively for years, but I never got the same scares as the first time which is a shame. |
The Hangover. Could literally put that on repeat and be happy all day :)
|
I always enjoy watching crappy thrillers again for some reason, as well as Star Trek movies.
And then Jaws is endlessly rewatchable. |
Actually, not just crappy thrillers - Hitchcock's stuff is just timeless.
|
Mean Girls - I've seen it about 50 times.
I often rewatch the Tarantinos. The History Boys too - there's always a hidden joke I didn't notice the first, second, third, fourth, fifth...time. |
oh yeah Shauny, great comedies are always worth watching again. Have no idea how many times I've seen films like Tootsie or Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
|
The Twilight Films
The Princess Bride Silent Hill Donnie Darko Fly away home Whip It The Phantom Menace Avatar Alice in Wonderland Garden State Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Lord of the Rings Movies Harry Potter films Spirited Away The Nightmare Before Christmas Lost and Delirious 30 days of Night Pocahontas I'm sure there are others as well. |
Oh, and Pulp Fiction. That's probably my favourite film of all time.
