Singers/bands that fell off

I have to say Linkin Park has to be near the top. The last good album they had was 'Meteora' back in 03. Since then, they have changed their style and they completely suck now.

They went from great songs like this...

To this..

This ain't gonna be a popular opinion, but Black Eyed Peas in my eyes lost everything that was great about them when they released "The END"

'Conor 25-09-2010 12:50 PM

christina aguilera

Ramsay 25-09-2010 01:22 PM

Black Eyed Peas
Kings of Leon
Pendulum
Snoop Dogg
My Chemical Romance (I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love album is great but i just dont really like any of their other stuff after that)
Green Day
Arctic Monkeys

The Prodigy when they released Fat of the Land. To make matters worse, everything they released since then made that album sound good.

Also Radiohead when they brought out Hail to the Thief. Bjork's last album Volta also sucked, but whether she will get back on track with her next release remains to be seen.

The Rolling Stones with Goats Head Soup.

The Velvet Underground's Loaded (thankfully their last album)

Shaun 25-09-2010 02:53 PM

David Bowie. So badly :( last good album was early 80s.

Muse are getting progressively worse since Origin of Symmetry.

Gorillaz's most recent album was so self-indulgent it's painful.

KG. 25-09-2010 03:04 PM

The Streets.

Get out. Bowie may not be as spectacular as he once was, but Outside, while different, was still a great album. The Hearts Filthy Lesson was an exceptional song.

Shaun 25-09-2010 03:53 PM

It's interesting, I'll give you that (I even own it on CD but that's more out of blind fan-hood than anything :P) - but I just don't think it's a genre he's comfortable in.

Tom 25-09-2010 03:55 PM

Eminem

Patrick 25-09-2010 04:47 PM

Ooo who was I going to say...

****** I forget now!

Oh yes, Example.

Kickstarts, Good Morning, Won't Go Quietly and that were brilliant tunes but he said the other day he's changing his style or something so it looks like he's ******ed it all up.

Miley Cyrus also, I never liked her and found her over rated but back around 2006 she was like this little kid releasing sh*t songs on Disney Channel, then she went to 2008 and released some quite good songs like Start All Over and See You Again [I think that's the name] but then recently she's went and TRIED to be a rockstar and failed so hard on her country ass it's unreal, the way she swings her hair about and 'rocks' to her new bollocks is quite funny.

linkin park and oasis sadly imo.:(

I don't think Muse have gotten worse over the years, except for The Resistance they're a very consistent band. Plastic Beach isn't as good as Demon Days granted but I wouldn't say it's a bad album either, it's on par with their first album.

I agree with David Bowie, I ADORED his work but I just don't like his 90's and 00's stuff much at all. I'm gonna (sadly) say Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well, They're my second favourite band but only half of their last album was good, the rest was filler, something that just isn't on the first two albums. The new Style is good it's just that it's inconsistent.

Guns and Roses is another and I don't need to say why, just listen to Chinese Democracy (or don't, that would be better advice).

Z 25-09-2010 06:32 PM

The mofockin' Sugababes. ugh.

LaLaLand 25-09-2010 07:13 PM

Sugababes (obviously, once the BEST, unbeatable girlband in the country and now just absolute rubbish)
Gorillaz
B.E.P to some extent
David Guetta (he's on his way)
KanYe West
Duffy began to also

lol 26-09-2010 11:28 AM

Eminem - Can't tell the difference between any of his new songs.

Bullet for my Valentine - First 2 albums were good, third is epically ****, plus they're a bunch of arrogant twats.

Metallica - First 3 albums were masterpieces, but they're kind of dying out now, but still better than most of the crappy modern bands.

Linkin Park - Nice to see them trying out new genres, but they fail at it, they should've stuck to their Nu Metal stuff, it was their strength.

roddyj 26-09-2010 11:57 AM

mariah carey,makes dire recordings now.

How very dare you. In Rainbows is an exceptional album.

I thought it was a disappointment, even with the underperformance of its predecessor HTTT in mind. It all just smacked of treading old ground. The final track "Videotape" was a pretty good summation of the album for me. Predictable and repetitious. They are capable of far better.

Amnesiac is regarded as a flop by a lot of critics and fans and it's true enough that the songs sound like the leftovers from Kid A, but at least it was a good set of music, particularly the wonderful "Pyramid Song". They haven't recorded anything that good in about a decade.

Maia 26-09-2010 12:46 PM

Sugababes by a country mile.

I sort of agree with people saying Gorillaz though - Demon Days was their best. I still love them though and Plastic Beach is amazing IMO.

You see, I felt that it was entirely different to anything they've done before: it was soulful and mellow music, a band just relaxing and playing music for the joy of it, not trying to impress anyone, and you can feel a real expression of love in the lyrics. Thought it was wonderful.
