Nadine's album FLOPS!

Oh dear. Set to debut at a pathetic No38.

Sorry Nadine, seems like nobodies interested in you on your own. Some people just don't have the charisma to be a solo success. You're clearly one of them. Ive always said for years that she would flop as a solo artist despite her good voice. -smug-

ps; her single is also set to drop out of the top40 after its sad debut at No26.

pps; great to also see Taylor swifts album plummeting down the charts already! This aint America, honey. :xyxwave:

Apparently it's a good album, it's just she shot herself in the foot by signing exclusively with TESCO.

The only reason Cheryl sells so well is because she has the XF as a platform to perform on.

Cheryl was way more charismatic and famous than Nadine before XF. Indeed, its why she got the XF gig in the first place.

She would have had solo success anyways. Not as much maybe without XF but certainly more than Nadine is having.

Nadine couldnt get a decent record deal so had to take what she could. Indeed, I think she's actually released it through her own record company. I could be corrected on the exact details coz I can't be arsed to check.

Not necessarily, if Nadine had got the role of XF judge and Cheryl hadn't the whole outcome would have been the completely opposite of what it is now. It's nothing to do with her being "charismatic" or "more famous" :joker:

The album is quite good actually, there's a few songs which could be hits.

Niamh. 10-11-2010 09:41 PM

can't they both do well Zippy, don't be a meany

Of course it is! Some stand out more than others. Its called star quality.

Cheryl has it, Nadine doesn't.

Not everything is definable especially when it comes to who draws peoples attention. Look at Jordan; there's no good reason to like her but she's still one of the most famous people in the country and makes millions from people being drawn to her and her products.

In other news, MM&I is probably crying as we speak as Taylor Swift falls to Number 36.

yes I did put a ps about that in my post.

Even Pixie Lotts album is still around the same number as them - after 61 weeks on the charts!

Cheryl was more famous because of her association with C-Ashley. Without him she would never had had such a high profile.

Using Jordan as an example to justify any ones 'star quality' makes you look desperate. As Niamh says you come across as mean spirited at times with the way you revel in the misfortune of anyone who challenges your 'Princess' Cheryl.

Sorry, I don't think I made my point clear enough. Cheryl doesn't have more Charisma than Nadine, and prior to XF she wasn't more famous than her either.

And Pixie's Album is only there because it's been rereleased recently so even when it was out of the top 40 it counts as a week

:sleep::sleep::sleep:

Like you wouldnt revel in Cheryl failing! I dont have hate for Nadine and spam the boards with it like Cheryl haterz like you certainly do.

So get off your bloody high horse.

As for Cheryl needing Ashley.....all speculation based on hindsight and ifs & buts etc. She stood out before Ashley which is why she attracted him. See, it all ties in.

Again with the zzz's. Jeez you like that emoticon dont you?

You say you dont have hate for Nadine but you seem pleased her album has failed when just about everyone says its a better album and you've stated a thread pointing out the failure. Pull the other one.

yes.

Tom4784 10-11-2010 10:36 PM

She was always going to flop, apart from the silly exclusivity deal there's the fact that her song sounded like she went back in time and nicked it from Michelle Branch. Her sound was just completely irrelevent.

Mystic Mock 10-11-2010 10:42 PM

i agree with what others have said on this thread, cheryl would have floped without the x factor.

nobody said that. No surprise, you have.

BB_Eye 10-11-2010 11:00 PM

Give the girl a break. It's not exactly for talent that Cheryl has done any better, or even the quality of her music.

Horrible? :joker:

whatever, Ill allow you an opinion but its sales speak for itself(4th biggest seller of 2009).

And if XF is oh so responsible for her success than how come it didint do anything for Dannii's singing career?

Quite. :xyxwave:

well there's no point arguing a songs worth any other way as its all subjective.

Point is, it was bloody popular.

and no.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 10-11-2010 11:21 PM

Oh well I hope she learns from this. Many of the best and long lasting artists began from the bottom and worked their way up.

Nah. It's probably the closest to objectively bad you can get. Ignoring 'Dragostea Din Tei'. You think established critics ignore her because she's really good? Or because they hate everything she represents? I think we both know.

And **** popularity. JLS get continual #1s because of that.
