BIG Brother 7 is set to start up early to get viewers hooked before the launch of rival telly shows.

The new series of Channel 4's smash hit will begin in three weeks on Thursday, May 18.

It will go on for longer than ever with even more housemates.

Traditionally, the spy-on-the-wall show kicks off at the end of May but teams of celebs headed by Robbie Williams, 32, and Gordon Ramsay, 39, battling it out on the pitch.

That will be followed by a week-long celebrity talent show X Factor: Battle of the Stars.

Stunts

A new series of Love Island in June is tipped to run for around eight weeks. BB7 will run for 13 weeks - the longest in Big Brother history and two weeks more than last year's show, won by Anthony Hutton, 24.

Sixteen housemates are expected to take part - more than ever before.

Yesterday, guinea pig contestants were put into the new-look BB house to spend five days trying out some of the tasks and stunts planned for this summer's series before the real housemates arrive.

im a bit suspicious though its on a thursday its never started on a thursday before unless they could do an eviction first night?

hmm thats what i thought its usually a friday but maybe theyve changed it! i mean its been on the channel 4 news and everything and in all the papers so maybe it is true!:elephant:

This just proves the house is going to be bigger if there is 16 housemates.

but i reckon the housemates arent ever picked around this time and to be honest how does the news know therer 16 if they aint been picked yet?

Usually some people get some inside information before the show starts. They usually pick the people early May, so I guess they've probably have picked the housemates now.

nah theyve definately picked the housemates but wouldnt have rang em 2 confirm it, i wonder whos in it this year!

i hope theres good people because 16 weeks is along stretch if the people in it arent up to scratch

Personally I'd rather it started on the friday, it's going to be hell dragging myself out of bed on the Friday morning, argh!:sad:

yeah definately i hope they get the right mix of contestants because it'll be on longer than usual! if they focus and ave fun and a gd time they should be fine! i dont think bb would choose any1 who couldnt hack 16 weeks in there!! lol:dance:

I rather it started on a friday too dunno why but I do because its like you have the weekend to post on here but on friday its like school/college luckly ill be off ui then so ill be ok

yeah i am use to it starting on a friday but even if it did start on a thursday i probably wouldnt even think of the days changing really, yeah aww bless you'll be alright darling x
