i think taylor swift was #2 most brought in 2008 and 2009.
i think susan boyle or lady gaga was #1 in 2009 and miley cyrus was good too

This isn't America. Nobody currs about her outside of yankyville. Her album sank without trace in the UK charts.

The Fame Monster is the third extended play (EP) and second major release by American recording artist Lady Gaga. The album's eight songs were initially intended to be part of a re-release of Gaga's debut album The Fame. However, Gaga announced that the new songs would be available as a standalone album, as she thought the re-release was too expensive and that, as the piece represents a separate conceptual and musical body of work, it does not need the songs of The Fame to support it.

It was released as a separate album and should count as such.

It was released as a separate album in the US alone, everywhere else (apart from Australia I think) It was released as the deluxe album

Either way she's #1

they could move into the top 10 before the end of the year proper. Its still selling big at UK No1 and only 0.1 mill behind Sade and Alecia who are not selling strong right now.

3 days to sell 100,000 albums?

I doubt it

but when were those sales figures taken?

plus 0.1 is a rounded figure. It could be 50,000 difference or something.

Smithy 27-12-2010 11:27 PM

They were released today, don't know when they were taken, but seeing as it's so close to the end of the year, I doubt they'll change now

Princess 27-12-2010 11:45 PM

They could easily sell that in a few days, they've sold near 2 million in 6 weeks and the sales are on at the minute.

well yes, it sold 433,000 in its 6th week alone in the UK. Which took its sales to 1.87mill in the UK. Plus it has sold well all over Europe going top 5 in about 10 countries inc No1 in Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland. Its still top 5 in Germany so must be shifting huge amounts there too.

So 100k in 3 days seems very do-able.
