BB12 | Game Playing VS Non Stop Fun?
 

Personally I think if C5 take it on we could be facing a more 'partyish' kind of slaggy theme to the show abit like these 3 Shows combined:

Jersey Shore :bored:
The Real World :amazed:
The Only Way Is Essex :bored:

Reason? Desmond owns Porn Channels and from what I've heard, Channel 5 wouldn't really give a ****** if Fight Night III broke out or if there was constant controversy coming from the show.

Channel 5 aren't being backed into a corner, the way Channel 4 [the spineless bastards] were after 2007.



Ideally I'd want the show to take a game play kind of approach alot like Big Brother USA and it's not often I'd say that as you know.

I want to see people using tactics as a way to stay in the game, Voting to Save so we can get on their side and help them along the way, Save & Replace to see people fighting for survival and by Save and Replace I mean good ones and not the children's fair ground ones we got in BB11.

I want H.O.H to be brought back, I'm not sure why that was ever took away after BB9 because it was fantastic infact Marcus Akin would of been a fantastic H.O.H in BB10.


Do you get what I mean? A Really competition/game show kind of feel to it.

But then this is the UK, Alot of viewers hate people like Victor and Jason who actually play the game.
Which is why a Vote to Save would be perfect.

Although I'm not saying I wouldn't want there to be a really fun theme to it either.

If we can get a perfect balance of ALOT OF FUN and ALOT OF GAME PLAY, it would be outstanding.

Infact there's only ever been one Big Brother series in the UK that's had exactly what I just mentioned and that was:

BB5 had both and is considered by many to be the best ever series, I'd choose game-playing though.

You're all to fixed on crowning a winner, 3 mins into launch show you've already started picking teams. It shouldn't be about who's gonna win it should be about the journey!

Would you really wanna see a bunch of hms all gameplaying & bitching it would be boring as hell after the first week. I wanna watch people having fun & being real whether its joking around, flirting, fighting whatever aslong as they're being themselfs. Why would you want to watch 14 HMs playing a game & NOT being themselfs in a REALITY SHOW. /rant

BB needs to be a place where there is lots of booze, parties and fun. If there is plenty of this housemates won't complain they are "bored" or threaten to leave. This will mean that they will be deserpate to stay and that is where the "gameplaying" comes in. To try and get others out so they can stay in.

BB6 was uncomfortable viewing, it was the year that the show's mental assessments of contestants prior to entry started to become questionable and race seemed to play a part in the way the groups seggregated themselves.

BB5 was far better (as was the game playing that year).

Jesus, the one ****ing time I say we should take one aspect of BB USA and I'm still being slated, can't win.

Dude I feel the same that's why I said we should have both like in BB5 and tbh your forgetting its a GAME show aswell so if people want to play the game, let them.

How about a hybrid of BBUSA ideals such as Discussing Nominations but do it the uk way as in voting oh wait that is call Big Brother Africa and It works there It would be brillant for you guys or maybe BBUSA rules until they have to vote out a hg then public so it could be 2 people up every week until final 3?

Yeah & I think it should stay that way, do you not? Both BB's wouldn't work well in each others country so why morph them both into something thats not quite as good as either [eels :hugesmile:]

Game playing would still include fun, alcohol, and fights though.

I think they should take on the format of Big Brother Brasil, it's an exact hybrid of BBUK and BBUS. And Big Brother is bigger in Brasil than in any other country, obviously it works well for them.

Tbf though and I meant to say this earlier when I seen it only I was on my phone and it takes ages to write,

As if AUS and The UK have no right what so ever to not like BB USA because it's 'a different show'.

And? It's still under the exact same title and name as us and every other version.
You can't not expect to be compared just because you use a hideous robot for a host, dull OTT housemates etc

Obviously they will be compared for having the same name but in reality the are practically two different shows since the formats are sooo different.

For me, I can hardly say BBUK or BBUS is better because they are so different from each other. Big Brother UK is about the experience, the housemates, and their relationships. Big Brother US is about strategy, gameplaying, winning, fighting, etc. (more of a 'Last Man Standing').

BBUS has more drama than BBUK because of the game playing format which I like. Where as on BBUK they argue about kind of pointless things like cleaning up, on BBUS they argue about being backstabbed or betrayed. (except obviously exceptions are made, where in BB5 and BB6 the show was more game play orientated)

But anyway, I think it should be like either Big Brother Brasil (for the reasons I mentioned above) or Big Brother Africa which has...

- Vote to save every week.
- Housemates are allowed to discuss nominations.
- Head of House competitions.

I agree. I think the tasks they do should be for immunity from the first public vote or something. Big Brother has to be a fun place for them. With loads of booze and parties so they are having so much fun that they desperately don't want to leave. This will result in ALL or at least MOST of the housemates putting all their efforts into winning a "immunity" task or something!

The tasks should last longer. Like an all nighter task but not a boring task.
