Josie to be a showbiz presenter on C5's OK! TV

Josie's agent posted on Twitter that Josie will be a showbiz presenter on Channel 5's OK! TV.

OK! TV is replacing Live From Studio 5 and is presented by Denise van Outen and This Morning's Matt Johnson.

Is this a wind up?! The Heffalump couldn't present a charity auction in a village pub! Why is she getting gigs over experienced presenters?

This is going to be a complete mess, she has no presenting skills. She even messed up when she was on loose women and they had to apologize. :bored:

Apologise on Loose Women for what?

And it's only the replacement show for Live from Studio Five, any experienced, respectable Tv presenters wouldn't go near. And it makes sense given who's bought the channel.
As if channel 5 wasn't bargain basement already.

I'm not bothered if she is, as I don't watch that sort of c*ap anyway :joker: so can happily avoid her  I expect she will be way worse than Kate Lawler ever was on RISE, which saw that show sink :joker:

The kids will be happy, Shrek on TV everyday.

Well, we'll only know how good she is at presenting when she does it. You've got to start somewhere. It will probably be something like red-carpet interviews I'd guess. And what's with all these shallow remarks about looks? :conf2:

I thought Kate Lawler was a perfectly okay presenter on RI:SE, btw.

For saying 'Bloody'

She did pretty good on Loose Women besides saying 'bloody'. Channel 5 like Josie, she's been on Live on Channel 5 and The Vanessa Show and her and John have a show coming up soon.

Thrilling news for both of her fans.

DrunkerThanMoses 07-02-2011 10:27 PM

Just cos no-one likes her on here, doesn't mean people don't like her elsewhere. The entire BB fan population doesn't reside here

InOne 07-02-2011 10:43 PM

Well could be worse, you could be a Jedward fanatic lol

Locke. 07-02-2011 10:47 PM

The only reason Channel 5 like her is because it's been taken over by the owner of OK magazine, Richard Desmond. Josie has a contract to appear in OK. Trust me it's nothing to do with her "talent". Although I'm sure the one day "presenting course" she did before Christmas will set her up in good stead:joker:

Exactamundo, Voddy  Because if any JJJ fan can seriously tell me what talents Josie Gibson has :conf: then I am all virtual ears.

Not saying this just because Ben is my fave from BB11, but he seems the only one of that lot with any presenting skills, and so he would being in that part of the media beforehand anyway. During the mock Jerry Springer show Ben was brilliant. Presenting skills don't just appear or are there after a one day course, they need to be learnt. Some have them and some don't, and I feel that Josie will be/is one of those who doesn't. She is just a reality show winner, practicarly given that win on a plate from the outset not through popularity so much.

There I have said my piece on this and will zip it now on this thread.

What experience does she have again? Apart from the very brief course she did?

She''s thick and barely literate, you need to be able to string a decent sentence together to be a TV presenter.

She's also, friendly, likeable and bubbly which are also good qualities to have in a presenter. You can be incredibly articulate but have none of the qualities I mentioned and no one would want to watch you either!
