Will muslim population of Britain want independence at some point?

It has happened quite often in various parts of the world throughout history.

What would your reaction be?

No, they'll just try to change the government rather than demand independence from it. Anyways, my own advice to the Brits (as someone on the outside looking in) is that they need to stop being distracted by some extreme Muslims and start paying attention to that massive European cock that being rammed into the British lion's arse deeper and deeper as time goes by. Maybe you should demand your own independence from the EU.

Going back to this immigration issue, Britain still needs experience taking in immigrants. The amazing thing is America is better than Europe in handling and accepting new immigrants like Muslims. Yes, we're actually better than you at something! :cheer:

They already have it to all intents and purposes:bored: They are the new darlings of the liberal elite.

InOne 19-02-2011 01:47 PM

Pffft they can want, but we'll laugh. Plus it can't happen seen as Sunnis and Shia's hate eachother anyway

ILoveTRW 19-02-2011 02:06 PM

You're such a hoot Angus.

All this Islam paranoia is so draining, like Liberty said everyone's so focused on the extreme minority that they don't realise that most muslims just want to live here peacefully. Some people need to stop taking the tabloids to heart and actually experience different cultures once in a while instead of griping from their armchairs thinking they know everything because they've read a few badly written newspapers or watched a few documentaries focused on the very worst of a society.

Those kind of things DEPEND on depicting the worst case scenairios, you wouldn't buy a newspaper if the headline was 'All is right with the world' but if you saw 'MUSLIM EXTREMISTS TAKING OVER' chances are you'd be more inclined to look. That's all the media is, showing us the worst to make us listen. Look at the whole Swine flu debacle, weren't we meant to be brought to our knees by it? It was the media telling us the worst possible outcome to make us pay attention.

Most Muslims aren't out to get you, you're more likely to get mugged or assaulted then being killed in a terrorist attack.

lol k, what about all those Mexican's illegally crossing the border everyday, or those Eastern Europeans sneaking over on the boats? Though you do have a better legal immigration system

Stu 19-02-2011 02:46 PM

The illegal Mexicans don't have the Daily Mail to market them to idiots.

Don't presume to know me, you silly little boy. When you have some experience of life behind you, I might deign to give a **** about what you have to say. Meanwhile, I suggest you go back to reading the Guardian and Time Out, or whatever other rag you get your deluded opinions from. In other words go patronise someone who gives a ***** about what you have to say.

As a mod you should know way better than to persistently attempt to insult by innuendo and supposition. How about just allowing FMs the courtesy of expressing their opinion without your right on, politically correct, liberal bigotry sense of entitlement to try and silence anyone with a different point of view from you and your little mates?

You'll note I don't follow YOU around the forum because I find your posts uninteresting, naive and pointless to read so don't waste my time with them. YOU on the other hand seek ME out - go figure:xyxwave:

Another post ridden with the same angry rhetoric and cliches you've repeated a million times before, because we're all just Guardian reading, politically correct liberal bigots with no life experience in your eyes eh angus?

You've got such an inflated sense of self worth if you think I seek you out, I click on a topic and if I see an opinion that I find quite frankly laughable I'll point it out. It's a debate section Angus so if you don't want your points of view discussed then I advise you stay away. Also I didn't insult you, I don't see any insults directed at you in that post at all. If that's what you got from it then you're oversensitive. In fact you've insulted me a lot more with direct attacks in that post so don't play the victim card because it's blatantly hypocritical.

You harp on about age and life experience but that post is you essentially getting in a huff and taking your ball home. If you can't handle a debate or defend your views then you're in the wrong section.

Please, why don't you try to argue my points instead of insulting me? If you think I'm being patronising about my views on the media then why don't you try to counter it? Why must you constantly accuse me and others of grouping up against you? You're answer to everything is essentially ' I'M OLDER AND WISER RAWR YOU'RE POINT OF VIEW MEANS NOTHING AND IF YOU DARE QUESTION MINE I'LL RESPOND LIKE AN IRATE BANSHEE RAWR'.

Also i don't read the newspapers, I read a few different sites because I like to hear the different sides to a story instead of taking everything as gospel from one publication.....I must be a Liberal communist! or a democratic nazi! Or whatever nonsensical oxymorons you've got up your sleeve. I enjoy different points of views and i also like to challenge them like people challenge mine. If you can't deal with that then that's your own problem.

Shasown 19-02-2011 07:20 PM

Why would Muslims want independence?

Surely they live here because its better than other places. If they dont like the fabric of our society they can always move elsewhere that suits them better.

BB_Eye 19-02-2011 09:34 PM

I don't think so. In most cases where the muslim population demand a degree of independence is where there is a majority of muslims in certain provinces, such as in Indonesia and Nigeria. In the UK, muslims are mostly gathered in cities.

Shaun 19-02-2011 09:53 PM

Why would they? There's no strong claim to it, it would just be pointless, and this topic just smacks of trouble-making.

joeysteele 19-02-2011 10:11 PM

I cannot see the vast majority of them even trying to be honest. I don't see it happening here in the UK, there are some extreme voices but I doubt very much if any Govt in the UK of any party would ever go down that road and listen to the extreme elements.

lostalex 20-02-2011 05:06 PM

If the Irish couldn't do it on THEIR OWN ISLAND, what would make the muslims think they could?

Yes... criticising other countries. which is odd when you think that only a tiny fraction of Americans will ever visit another country.

Only because they don't need to. In the US you can ski, surf, sunbathe, visit lots of different cultures - you cannot do that in most other counties. Where can you sunbathe in December in the UK?

When I move to New York (one day) I'll never leave the US again.
