Is it true that if you drop a coin from a tall building it will kill someone if it hits them on the head??

Nah don't think so, it should hit terminal velocity pretty soon so doesn't really matter if it's dropped for 100metres vs miles, it will be traveling roughly the same speed.

Nope, they tested it on mythbusters once, and they said the wind slows it down, so it wouldn't kill a person.

But maybe if it was a huge coin it would :laugh:

It was rumoured that if you drop one from the Eiffel tower it would kill somebody but I'm not sure how true that is. Something bigger would, but I coin is quite light.

im sure it would depend what way the pin would land, as it would swirl in the air.

but if it landed like with pointy bit 1st i'm sure it would pierce skin

It would land with the pin sticking up due to gravity so the pointy bit wouldn't hit you. :)
