The music mogul is said to be "unimpressed" with Hasselhoff's judging performance after the American star joined the show along with comic Michael McIntyre.

A source close to the 51-year-old claimed that Cowell hasn't taken to the actor.

They commented to the Sunday Mirror: "He's not thrilled about the start. He feels that The Hoff hasn't quite taken off with BGT viewers."

It has also been suggested that Louis Walsh will be taking over from the Baywatch star.

A source told the Daily Mail: "[ITV's Director of Television] Peter [Fincham] did not like the idea of Louis working on two of ITV's most high-profile shows.

"He felt that BGT should be a separate brand from X Factor now that Simon has left and there should be more distinction between the two panels.

"But with falling ratings, discussions have taken place at a senior level and the view is that Hasselhoff won't return next year."

Cowell will not appear on the lineup until the live finals.

Hasselhoff and McIntyre's Britain's Got Talent debut was seen by 10.4m viewers when it went out on ITV1 last month. Subsequent shows have pulled in 8.99m and 9.08m on Saturday nights.

Its not the judges i've been unimpressed with it this year, just the show on a whole.

Definetely peaked in SuBo's year, its just the same old dance troupes, dog acts and freaks these days.

I doubt it'll go beyond one more series

I too think it's run its course but I am enjoying it more this year than previous years, there seems more variety to it and much less talking too.

i much prefer louis to the hoff anyway

Being the only original judge left has given her quite a big sense of her own importance.

Louis would be better suited to Britain's Got Talent IMO, he does have an eye for controversial acts that'll either entertain or annoy people. Get him off X Factor and onto BGT!

Cowell is such a micro manager. If theres anything thats not exactly how he would like things then he wants to change it. The Hoff was OK on America's got Talent. GIve him a chance.

If they bring in louis i will never watch it again

It's nothing but an X Factor wanna be, that bigs little teen boys or dance groups up to become the next big superstar, their 'fame' lasts for the first week of June and then no one cares a week later. :bored:

ITV confirmed that this isn't true IIRC

Just leave the panel as it is, people got pissed enough with 2 new judges, they won't want it to change again.
