GIF spamming
 

There have been a lot of complaints recently regarding certain members spamming GIFS. While GIFs themselves are not against the rules, posting a large amount of them in a small space of time/posting mainly in GIFs in general, is not allowed and will result in infractions/bans.

This includes in chat threads.

Not everyone has a quick connection, and it can be very annoying waiting 5 minutes for a thread to load, only because one or two people have been overusing GIFs in it.

(I did an announcement on this too, but want a reminder in here for when the announcement disappears)

Spamming would imply a lot I posted 3 within the space of an hour and got a warning :sad:

Spoiler tags wouldn't do anything to help speed up pages anyway surely, right? You're not going to a new page when you open a spoiler. The .gif still has to load and plays on the same loop it's just ... less visible.

But tbh I haven't noticed many people posting THAT many GIFs recently, so whoever's complaining clearly hasn't been around when Scott and The X Factor GIFs were at it's peak.
