Technology forum?
 

I know this may sound silly but whenever I make a thread on something to do with technology - e.g the new iPhone being revealed - I never know where to put it. I was wondering if there could be a forum for that or if the film/video games forum could be changed slightly so it can also play host to these sort of threads?

I also cant wait for Mac OSX lion. More organisational features my life is actually going to be so much better and my ocd with my mac will be easier to manage.

Lion so far hasn't impressed me that much. Some of the things they've tried to take away are silly - like they wanted to remove the little blue light from the dock that tells you when a program is running. That'd drive me up the wall. :laugh:

Really couldn't care less about Lion - they'll have to pull something spectacular out of the bag today to get me to upgrade

Why would they take away that light its like god.
The one feature that I would die for would be to be able to lock windows in position so they don't accidentally move. Would be like my ocd gone forever.
If a window isn't centred I get a little freaked out.

Yeah they've actually made it the default when you install it. Thank God you can switch them back on via system preferences. :laugh:

What I've seen already has somewhat impressed me. I like the idea of Mission Control (the fancy name for a new version of Exposé) which lets you zoom out and see the Dashboard, all your programs and spaces in the exposé style view. But others I'm not that keen on. They're going to replace the applications folder with this thing called 'Launchpad' which presents all your apps in a similar fashion to the way an iPad would. :conf2:

Lmao I'm like that too. I get really frustrated if the window isn't like covering the whole screen or if there are little gaps at the side where I can see the desktop. :laugh:

Lion and IOS 5 looks really good. Wireless syncing will be so good on my iphone.

And lion is like my organisational heaven so excited for it to come out in july.

iOS 5 just looks like they've robbed loads of ideas from Android.

True and blackberry with the iPhone bbm thing.

But still android has done the same thing with apple pretty much from the start.

I like the idea of iMessage even if it is a rip off of BBM. My next phone is gonna be an iPhone 5 methinks. :amazed:

So agree about the iMessage thing. I have heard so many people saying the only reason they have a blackberry over an iPhone (cough my sister cough) is BBM so hopefully blackberry will lose a lot of their teenage market because of it.

I've put up a thread in Tibb Towers highlighting this, I think a sub section or altering the name of an existing section to include technology is acceptable. We'll have to wait for an Admin to make the final decision though as mods can't change or add sections to the site.

Yeah I hate BlackBerry users. They're all like "Lolz my phone is amazing cause it has the BBM. I love it even if it deletes all my contacts randomly lol xxxxxx". And I'm just like, "Gtfo, your phone is **** -_-". :laugh:

I already know loads of people with iPhones and as nice as my HP Pre 2 is, I'd die for free messaging like iMessage, Ping or WhatsApp. :sad:
