What kind of cast do you want?

What kind of cast/group of housemates do you want for this series? Freaks? Everyday normal people? Hot people?

I want a good combination of hot people, 1 or 2 freaks, a few normal people, and dramatic/bitchy people. Like a mix between BB6 and BB10 housemates.

I think that the more diverse, the better. Both personality wise and race wise as well, i'd love to see 3-4 or more black people at least.

And there must be at least 2 super hot girls and 2 super hot guys so there is at least some definite eye candy.

I think it also should be a primarily young cast 18-30 (with some exceptions made). I don't want any Steve's, Dave's, Carol's, Tracey's, Suzie's, etc.

I also don't want any nerdy people like Eugene or super posh people like Ben.

A mix between bb6 and bb10?

Even though they were good series the housemates were all pretty much very dislikable

lol, agreed.

I think throwing a Shahbaz or an Angel in there for the hell of it would be good though.

Chuck 20-06-2011 02:51 AM

I dont care about the hot people really, I want normal people with loud personalities and some freaks.

I just want there to be alot of dramatic/bitchy people but still have likeable people in there to root for as well (like an Anthony or a Sophie).

Or maybe even a Kitten

BB3 style. Genuine housemates there for the experience.

I don't see the need to specifically cast fake & bitchy people, normal people under bb conditions will be just as bad & it'll be real.

ElProximo 20-06-2011 05:44 AM

I could actually accept 6 fake wannabe-model gym-body knobs,
however,
Can I get a 56 year old gardener who doesn't watch a lot of television, is married to a plump nagging wife and regrets they never had children.

Can I get a mother of 2 from London. Not a sexy single mom. not an orange mom. a family mom who is 44 and preparing the kids to enter college and she isn't saucy or a party fanatic.

Actually I want to give a glimpse into my recruiting process:

I would dismiss all clothing and styles. (including dull or flamboyant) nor care anything about what bands they like,
what music,
not even politics so much,
extrovert or introvert not so interesting,
HOWEVER,
...all the questions, CVs, tests, interviews would be aimed to find people who, in some significant way, experienced some truly unique, possibly tragic, possibly traumatizing events.

Steve was a good example. I mean that is just effing jaw-dropping what that guy went through. Truly unique.
Not only that but his appearance was REAL 'special'. I mean he actually had a completely different body but is TRULY unique as far as his acceptance.

(sorry but the only gay in your village is NOT really that interesting)

Anyways, the ideal (for me) would be a house of seemingly very ordinary people but given enough time would reveal REAL LIFE 'Nasty Nick' life-changing events and how they coped.
Someone who really DID lose his fiancee in a car accident. Or someone who was very wealthy and is now on welfare allowance.
Someone who was poor their entire life and recently won the lotto and is now a multi-millionaire.
A seemingly average soldier who, it happens, was in a terrible ambush and really had to kill enemies. directly.

Also a flamboyant 'bisexual' who loves to dance and wears the craziest fashions!

-agrees with iRyan-

Steve was a waste of space in tha house regardless of his tragic past. :bored:

mj2303 20-06-2011 11:37 AM

i agree you can have people with really intresting backgrouds ie steve or even that young girl from seara leone....? cant remeber her name but they still ended up to be a complete void. They added nothing to the house and steve only stayed in due to sympathy, same with mikey and with pete. Take away their disability and they really didnt add anything to the series. However some people who might not have had much life experience could end up embrasing the experience alot more and end up being the most dramatic housemate in there.....

Chuck 20-06-2011 11:46 AM

Sylvia*

And she was very entertaining, Steve on the other hand... :bored:

MeMyselfAndI 20-06-2011 11:49 AM

BB5>BB7>BB10>BB9>BB8>UBB>BB11
thoose are the series I've watched, (need to see BB6).

However I've heard 1 & 4 are boring so 5 worst.

1)BB4
2)BB11
3) UBB
4)BB8
5)BB1

I've enjoyed every season, but 11 is by far the worst.

mj2303 20-06-2011 11:52 AM

my ideal cast would be:
Young attractive femine lesbian 20-30
Older Strong minded Black family woman (think woman out of Shameless)
Young student type female, maybe an art or psychology student
A typical BB Bimbo, big boobs, dumb the job lot
Tomboy girl into football, drinking, hanging out with the lads
Business minded woman, something like Helen from the apprentice
Outgoing bubbly chavette like to be loud and party 18 -25 (cross of Bex and Bonnie)

Farmer guy in his late 20's early 30's
Older guy who is a Drag Queen
Young gay gay (im thinking gay version of glynn)
Young DJ into his music very 'street' (cross between Spiral and Victor)
Typical poser guy into lifting weights
Young guy into politics, maybe a student or someone associated with running for local MP ect
Middle aged guy, proper football jack the lad, father

id be happy with a mix like that

mj2303 20-06-2011 11:56 AM

1 was dull in retrospect but it was the UK's first crack at the whip so the was not twists, no secret goings on, no new housemates added in to spice things up(clare being the exception of replacing Nick) it was just very basic. Yes there was some bitching and nudity and the obvious drama of Nasty Nick but when you compare it to the vast improvemnt of 2 and 3 i do think i was a bad series, but like i said they were just getting into it and the casting was good bar a few non entites again but you get that with pretty much every series - still worth watching though just to see how it all began :)

No 'Normal' people like everyone is saying, it just wouldn't work like it once did + its BB I honestly don't give a **** who I can relate to in real life and talk about the local chippy. I want entertaing, OTT personalities that i'd never come across.

- Another group like BB5, BB7, BB10 would be amazing because they weren't just plain 'normal', they all had extremes to certain parts of their personalities.

- Arguementative housemates, who are REAL and don't hold back on their opinion because of what others might think. [Charley for example]

- Good looking HM's to bring sexual frustration.

- Housemates who want to drink and have a laugh everynight.

- Young housemates, all under 25. **** off with the controlling parent figure we get every year.

- A few clash of personalities/opinions, fed up of everyone wanting to get along as a happy house.

- NO BORES. If you look at the best series its because everyone had something to bring to the series. So also no overly nice floaters who make it to the final because no one nominates them.

Could go on forever....

lolwut, Sylvia was the star of the second week of the show. And Mikey was one of the most entertaining housemates of the series, blind or not.

LemonJam 20-06-2011 12:02 PM

Anyway, I'd just like a good range of people from all sorts of different backgrounds. No more cookie cutter housemates please.

No way was Mikey Entertaining he yeah he made a few amusing remarks back at Rex now and then but that was about it. He didnt add anything else. My point with Sylvia was she was clearly picked because of her life story as this was how she was introduced in her VT, BB needs to see past intresting life stories and tradgies and just get to the personality and then find another housemate to clash with them. Pit a Jahovas Wintess agains a sex mad stripper, a hot attractive self respecting woman against a dirty minded builder, A lesbian gay rights campainger against a devout catholic street preacher ect

CharlieO 20-06-2011 12:27 PM

I dont want a cast, I want housemates.

But normal people with a few freaks BB3,5,6,7 types all mixed.

Benjamin 20-06-2011 12:32 PM

I want a collection of people you'd see in everyday life and when you encounter them it makes you stop and wonder what they are like as a person and what their life is like.

The flustered yet amusing waitress/waiter who serves you when you go out for dinner; the bus driver who whistles (there are many in Bristol that do this) songs and is really friendly; The angry Patrick type who has sudden, genuine outbursts over the smallest of things for no apparent reason; The shy, quiet type who whilst in the house learns to gain confidence in the house and a really princess type of girl (18 years old) who actually grows up in the house and isn't just there to get a page 3 deal.

These people exist, but BB hasn't bothered using normal people since BB5.

That'll happen every series - BB5's Stu and Shell are the prime example (they are far from the most boring people to make a final night but they completely flew under the noms radar

LOL, I didn't go to the auditions. I changed my mind and decided that I didn't want to be associated with the C5 BB as I am not even interested in it anymore, the novelty wore off pretty quickly.

But you get the gist of the kind of people I think would be nice to see. Of course there will be drama and clashes of personality, it always happens, but it seems in recent years the producers have made that their focal point so gone for housemates that will argue all the time. It would be nice for BB to get back to being fun again with people we can relate to.
