So the new interview studio is going to be further away from the house....

....Than the George Lucas bulding.

Im actually really pleased about this. Hopefully they can recreate the energy of evictions in previous years where the housemates had to literally run to the interview room through the crowds.

I loved the energy of BB evictions back in the day.

The news story is below

It has been revealed that Channel 5 will not use George Lucas stage for Big Brother interviews etc. It has been used to host Big Brother’s interview studio since Big Brother 3, however, Channel 5 will not be permitted to use the facility.

Channel 5 have had trees removed to prepare for 30 portable cabins onto the Elstree site on a temporary basis. They have not yet been granted planning permission for this.

The interview studio will be moved to another location, however, it will not be as near to the Big Brother house as the George Lucas stage.

The interviews will be done outside

Actually it'll probably be closer. The last time they didn't have the George Lucas stage, CBB2, the studio was in the Workshop (where the Big Mouth set was located until last year):

The workshop isnt closer its at the back of the house.

Even though it looks closer to the house its longer to walk

Cant see them being conducted there though.

If they keep the front door it will, but during CBB2 they had a door at the side of the house.

Right now it's the only studio space they have - if they don't do eviction interviews there they'll probably be done outside.

Cant see that happening all the crowd space is at the front of the house :)

If it is in the work shop i hope the crowd goes all the way round

That article does state it is going to be further away from the house aswell mind.

Ah scrap what I've said above - I forgot they've moved the live broadcast trucks to the side of the house.

I doubt then that they'll have a crowd beside the house because the staff will need easy access to those trucks.

I know right, all this speculation is confusing :p

This is the aerial layout they submitted with the planning application:

I thought they'd be able to do a CBB2 with the eviction layout, but I forgot they moved the live broadcast trucks to the side of the house

It's probably gonna look a right mess

Just gives them more reason to prerecord the evictions.

Nah i think they will tidy it all up.

They have done a proper good job at fencing the back of the house off, Looks far better than previous years.

I would like to see them being evicted into the crowd then rushed down the right side of the house down the steps (something different) and around to the workshop.

If they could get the crowd around there to it would be perfect but i doubt they could.

tbh I'd love for evictions to always look like this:

Lucas is one of the film industry's most successful directors/producers, with an estimated net worth of $3.2 billion,I think star wars/Indiana Jones was filmed at elstree and he directed it

Yes it's BB7, and you have BB3 downloaded onto your computer. You could just get a random shot of the crowd.

If evictions are in Workshop1 we might get a window overlooking the house in the studio.
Like the old BBBM studio

I really wish the house could go back to Bo!

The BBBM studio with the glass door(s) facing the house was Workshop 2 but Workshop 1 (the one they used after CBB6) is actually closer to the house so if they design a completely new studio rather than just recreating the BB8-CBB7 big mouth set I don't see why they couldn't bring that back.

BB3's crowd was quite big, I don't think it's the location just that the show isn't new anymore and less people are interested in being there.

(It's Bow by the way ;))

I tried to go to CBB7 Launch and they had to turn 200 people away.

They just dont allow many people in anymore.
