Thats disgusting,I cant believe some people in this world.

I'd imagine most dead newborns are found dead, rather than found alive.

I dont think being outraged at the young girl is really the line to take here its not something she did to look cool or out of hate she obviously felt cornered and had nobody she could talk to and couldnt see another option the poor girl.
She has to live with this for the rest of her life.
Feeling she had to hide the pregnancy is sad.

Theres a bit more here but not much i presume they are sparing a lot of details to protect the girls identity as she is only a minor.

Can't imagine the state she must have been in. So sad for the baby, but sad for the girl too, who at 14 is still really a child herself.

I think this quote from the police man was a bit harsh "Parents need to be involved and know what their kids are doing," he added. "You're a mother, a woman, you're supposed to know!"

Wonder where the father is? He also made a choice to have sex with a 14 year old and use no protection. Not fair that the girl and her mother are the only ones being criticised. She didn't get pregnant on her own.

I agree, and I think it was very unfair of the policeman to make the comment he did about the girls mother as well. I mean yeah, you should have a good idea of where your teenagers are etc. but she's 14 she can't be kept on a leash at all times.

The policeman is a clueless tw@ who should have kept his mouth shut, he obviously doesn't understand the complexities of stuff like this, so he shouldn't even be on the case.

Complexities??? The parents had a 14 y/o girl who was preggers for an entire 9 months, and they didn't even notice? I'm sorry, but the copper made a good point. How can you have a 14 y/o child living in your house and not notice that she's pregnant???? What kind of parent could miss that? When i was 14 my parents were on my ass like GLUE. Yes it drove me crazy, but that's what PROPER parents do. If i even looked at them wrong they'd call a family meeting.

It's very possible actually and without knowing the full facts you can't really comment. She could have been very over weight or may not have showed much. It does happen. I can tell you that from a personal experience, I was pregnant 17 weeks with my son before I realised I was pregnant, that's almost half way through so I have no doubt she could have hidden it if she didn't change too much physically.

We're talking about a 14 y/o though! when did she even have the oppurtunity to get pregnant?? obviously this girl was going out and out of control to even have the oppurtunity to get preggers. When i was 14, you better believe if i wasn't home after school my parents would have called the cops and i'd never hear the end of it.

You're right though, we don't know enuf details. BUt i'm sorry, a 14 y/o is a child, and for this to happen means a serious LACK of parental guidance.

I really don't see why people are talking sheet about the cop, he's right, if the parents were doing their job, this wouldn't happen.

I know that quite a few pregnancies do go un-noticed, especially with the general rate of obesity these days. If she was only 14 I'd imagine she didn't really have a regular cycle of periods so that probably didn't help. Feel sorry for the poor girl really, at that age it is a lot to cope with and probably a real mind****** if she didn't know what was going on.

Why do you think that she needed to be out clubbing in order to have sex with someone? People can have sex in the middle of the day as well you know. Are you suggesting that 14 year olds shouldn't be allowed out with their friends now? Because that's when experimenting like this usually happens in young teenagers and usually in the middle of the day too. For all you know it could have happened behind the sheds of her school.

It's a sad case for all involved, I hope the girl gets some help as she's obviously in need of it. As for the rest I agree with Niamh.

It could have happened anywhere. But no matter where it happened, for her to hide it for 9 months, she obviously didn't feel she could come to her parents, or know enuf to figure how to prevent pregnancy to begin with.

Al of these things could be prevented with good parenting. Teaching her about contraception, or abortion.

this girl killed a child. I don't understand why anyone is defending her or her parents, instead they are talking sheet about the cops?? seriously?? the cops are the LAST people we should be talking sheet about.

She was a teenager ffs, I'm sure she knew all about getting pregnant and the risks involved in having unprotected sex, you must have been some kind of angel when you were younger but I know when I was a teenager I did stuff that I wouldn't dream of doing now, not because I had bad parents or because I wasn't aware of the risks involved in the things I did but because I was young and didn't worry about the consequences of things.

You didn't kill a child though.

Teenagers know that killing a BABY is WRONG. They may have a lot of crazy hormones, and not make great decisions, but we are talking about KILLING a BABY.
