Chavs, Silly Girls, Bellends.

It doesn't surprise me, this year has been appalling for music - and any good music isn't even getting into the Top 5 :bored: ******ing joke.

DrunkerThanMoses 21-09-2011 04:36 PM

Who is this moron?

'Conor 21-09-2011 04:36 PM

2008's Charts were ******ing AMAZING.

Especially that Summer.

Shaun 21-09-2011 05:56 PM

charts having awful songs isn't a new phenomenon. Check the 1980s.

I don't like when people make that comparison. The pop fluff in the eighties was still far better and it's not as if virtually the entire top twenty was absoloutely littered with the **** attack garbage today's charts are. The decent tunes still broke the charts back then because everyone bought singles.

I find it so bizarre that people still follow the charts. And I don't mean looking at the countdown on TV out of curiosity. I mean really following the charts.

Anyway how dare he tarnish this hallowed ground of superior music etc.

Yeah I checked iTunes this morning to buy Lucky Day by Nicola Roberts (only down in the 70s?! oh dear...) and was pretty appalled to see him at #1, I'd have thought One Direction would be soaring at #1 still? I take no issue with him getting a #1, I'm genuinely stunned at the support he has, I didn't think N-Dubz were particularly successful? It's surely only through Tulisa's X Factor connection...?!

MeMyselfAndI 21-09-2011 06:34 PM

I like this song D:
Even I've gone off alot of the charts.
Although Collide made top 5:love:

She was in the 20's in the midweeks, I think she has pretty solid physical sales

MeMyselfAndI 21-09-2011 06:36 PM

She'll be around #30

InOne 21-09-2011 06:45 PM

Yeah the charts are shyte these days, littered with X Factor rejects, and well... Dappy

Bananarama, Kajagoogoo and Chas and Dave were not far better :nono: and it's a bit pointless saying "oh well this dirge is slightly better than new dirge", it's still dirge, which was my point :hmph:

They were - especially 2 years back around the time 'Number One', 'Wouldn't You' and 'Need You' came out.

But they are split up now, which in a way is a shame - because I'd much rather listen to them than Dappy, at least with them we got Tulisa.

Of course it's not pointless. Less dirge songs mixed in with lots of great songs > Incredibly dirge songs being near dominant on a constant basis.

One > the other.

Saph 21-09-2011 06:52 PM

I think the charts have only been crappy since 2010, before that was good :D

97-07 was a wonderful era for music :amazed: nowadays its all just 'urrrhh' music.

Exactly.

The charts are literally ran by little girls thinking with their young pussies.
I don't know why there is barely any Rock, Indie and Punk and aside from that - just normal music, on the charts now?

I say Rock, Indie and Punk because you hear new songs from those genres on YouTube - but never see them in the charts.

I mean today in town I seen a line up outside HMV - for guess who?

That ******ing pussy 'Starboy Nathan' from Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack.
I mean what goes through the minds of people who want to buy his music? And if I hear One Direction's new song again I'll shoot myself.

I'd give anything to go back to about 5 Years ago - there were boy bands around the charts then that actually weren't annoying and had good songs.

Snow Patrol springs to mind easily and that song by The Feeling that was quite big in '06.
