If your music hero was an arsehole...

Would it put you off their music? Like say if you skipped up to you fave star and they casually told you to "**** off" would it spoil listening to them again?

I'm not talking about what you hear in the papers and that, but if it was a personal experience.

Vicky. 30-09-2011 02:28 PM

Doubt it

Chuck 30-09-2011 02:28 PM

Not at all

Iceman 30-09-2011 02:29 PM

If Eminem told me to **** off I think I'd die :amazed:

Ramsay 30-09-2011 02:29 PM

Nope.. I can understand how annoying it must be for them having loads of people they dont know run up to them expecting him to be all happy and nice

hahahah yeah i'd take more as a compliment than an insult:joker:

Black Dagger 30-09-2011 02:33 PM

Nope... my favourite artist is bitter and quite self absorbed and I love his music.

_Seth 30-09-2011 02:35 PM

I'd probably have a hard time enjoying their music again... :(

Pyramid* 30-09-2011 02:37 PM

Not at all. Over the years I've grown to dislike what Madonna is turning into, I still love her music. I doubt a personal experience would change that, all it would do would solidify my current thoughts on her, not her talent/music.

Niamh. 30-09-2011 03:03 PM

It would turn me off them yeah, big time. After the experience Gav had at The Guns'n'roses concert last year, I find myself not feeling the same way about them anymore

Lee. 30-09-2011 03:14 PM

Yeah I think it would actually. It must be really disappointing to realise somebody you admire is actually an arsehole.

Maia 30-09-2011 03:17 PM

Yes. It'd be really unnecessary for them to be like that. I'd be absolutely shocked if Pixie Lott was like that because I've never seen her be anything but sweet and kind.

That's how I feel, I'd be turned off their music.

CharlieO 30-09-2011 03:33 PM

We can find kindness and loving in everyone so no. :)

Niall 30-09-2011 03:38 PM

Not in the slightest.

Vicky. 30-09-2011 03:40 PM

I dont really 'admire' the people who make the music though, I just enjoy listening to the music.

This is probably why I would be unaffected if they were dickheads :/

It wouldn't matter to me if I really admired them as such or not, If someone tells me to **** off for just saying hello to them or what ever, I would think of that and get angry everytime I heard them singing and it would change the way I listened to their music and make me not enjoy it, I think.

Smithy 30-09-2011 10:59 PM

It would never happen :')

Roy Mars III 30-09-2011 11:03 PM

No. I'd probably be disappointed, but I'd still like their music.

MTVN 30-09-2011 11:10 PM

I was gonna say yes but then I like Chris Brown's music despite him being a prick, and the same for someone like Dappy as well, although maybe it would if they were an arsehole to me personally

See that is the delusion people hold :joker: Which is why you would get let down more

GypsyGoth 01-10-2011 12:00 AM

I'd never have the courage to go up to a singer I liked.

Patrick 01-10-2011 12:01 AM

I'm not sure.

The closest thing that's happened to me is - last Summer when I fought Sam Pepper's corner constantly on here and stuff and was a loyal fan of his and then he got out of the house and threatened to take me to court, the stupid ******ing moronic wanker.

So now whenever I watch back on BB11 I just cringe at him and see him in a different light.

I imagine it may of been the same with music?

I guess it depends on how good they were, I mean if a Pendulum Member told me to ****** off I would still orgasm whenever I hear their songs anyway.
