Yeah, true. They should just end them now though. Like Big Brother, you can keep it on as much as possible but people just don't care like they used to. Of course I understand the viewers difference between XF/BGT and BB is obviously massive but it's pretty much the same thing.

BB was just plagued in problems not helped by the producers and Channel 4's lack of support. BB hasn't changed since 2004 and has got gradually worse whilst X Factor and BGT make some form of change each year.
Theres obviously a lot of effort going them both, BGT paid off because the viewers held up (didn't see much of it) but now they're back to square one whilst X Factor appeared to pay off at first but has become a complete mess during the live shows. X Factor is the biggest problem for next year because of how much of a role the judges play. I'm sure they'll manage to fix it, after all people were calling for it to be axed during series 4 because it was awful, unaware of how it would blow up in the following years. They'll never get the magic back of the first series or so of BGT, the 5th series of X Factor etc but it goes to show it can be quickly turned around.
Its a bit too early to say they should be cancelled right now but if the audience falls again next year they'll probably call it a day in 2013, or reduce the budget and just keep renewing it each year. I can't see Simon or ITV getting into a BB situation where noone cares about it and the audience falls through the floor.

Not sure if Dannii will work on this, I do like her though. David's a great choice but I'm still disappointed Michael left, no one could top him.
Oh, and I don't think having a 2:1 ratio of women to men will work either.

Doubt it'll just be them 3. I imagine they'll have Louis Walsh on the auditions panel (as he knows, gets on with and bounces well off the other 3), those 3 decide the finalists and then Simon returns for the live shows. If its not Louis then they'll have a load of guest judges and one will most likely replace Simon full time in 2013
