THE BBC has finally decided on the panel for their new singing show The Voice.

As TV Biz predicted, Pop Idol champ Will Young, Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am, Welsh legend Tom Jones and pop princess Jessie J have all said they'll appear.

All have agreed contracts but Will has still to sign.

Sources claim Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson is hoping Will won't put pen to paper so he'll get a look in. But execs say that's unlikely.

The Voice will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates and will be on BBC1 in the spring.

Kylie Minogue turned down a controversial £1million offer to be on the panel.

Ew ew ew...

Tom and Will I like, but Will.i.am can't sing live, he's useless. I hope he decides to not do it.

And they showed so much promise.

Can't wait for this to start it will be much better than X Factor

fruit_cake 28-11-2011 01:43 PM

Another amazing thing.

I hope there are some likeable acts. I loved a lot of the US acts, Nakia <3.

Jords 28-11-2011 02:47 PM

This should be good :amazed:

The American Version was amazing for season 1 and now they're taking it to the next level. (Also a Nakia Fan BTW) This will be a great show to watch (Hopes it gets onto BBC America)

Doogle 29-11-2011 05:44 PM

:amazed:

Brilliant.

Will.i.am judging a singing competition roflmfao

Tom 30-11-2011 10:14 PM

And this is how the BBC respond to ITV getting Gary Barlow & Kelly Rowland? Terrible panel, Holly has completely ******ed herself over by quitting DOI for this.

I hope Ricky signs instead of Will, then it will be OK at best. Otherwise I doubt I'll bother with this

BBfanUSA 30-11-2011 10:15 PM

I think Will also mentored the AI singers one week with Jimmy Iovine.

rk3388 30-11-2011 10:31 PM

Will.i.am -_-,

Samuel. 30-11-2011 10:45 PM

Never really been into singing shows, but I'm looking forward to this. Better panel than I was expecting from the beeb. Even though he probably shouldn't be judging others singing ability, Will.I.Am's a huge name.

I'd rather have Ricky Wilson over Will Young, though.

BBfanUSA 30-11-2011 10:52 PM

It kinda funny since both the holland (original version) and US version both use all singers as coaches (I'm impressed by the Holland coaches, boy they can sing.)

Ramsay 30-11-2011 10:53 PM

Whats the difference between this and Xfactor like?

There's a video on there that explains it.

In short; not a whole lot.

On this show we just skip to the "Bootcamp" round
All four coaches are in big giant chairs with thier backs to the contestants. The contestant sings and if the coach wants that person, then they just press the button in front of them, turning the chair around and the coach lets them join their team if more than one coach presses thier button then the singer chooses thier coach out of thoses who pressed thier button. They keep churning out singers until all the spots on every team is filled. and if the singer finishes thier song without anyone turning around then that act is eliminated

The next round is called the battle round where the coach puts one act against another and the acts sing a song together in a stage set like a boxing ring. After the song is over. The coach chooses who to bring with them to the live shows out of the two acts.

in the quarter finals we choose one act and the judge chooses one other act to save out of those remaining on the coach's team

in the semi finals it's a combined score of the coach's score and the public vote whoever has the higher score moves onto the final becoming the final representative of that coach's team

in the final. All four acts sing a song they wrote and (in the american version) sang a duet with thier coach. Whoever has the highest of the public's vote becomes The Voice

Iceman 03-12-2011 03:37 PM
