Would you rather go blind or deaf?

If one of these things was to happen, which would you prefer?

Lee. 08-09-2012 02:59 PM

Deaf I think... I don't think I could ever get used to having no sight and not seeing my kids etc ever again.

Apple202 08-09-2012 03:27 PM

Easily Deaf.

Redway 08-09-2012 03:41 PM

Definitely deaf.

Vicky. 08-09-2012 03:46 PM

Deaf. I dont think it would impact on your life as much as being blind would.

Redway 08-09-2012 03:48 PM

Why is this in Chat and Games though? :suspect:

Me. I Am Salman 08-09-2012 03:56 PM

Deaf. Just imagining being blind is scary.

Tom4784 08-09-2012 03:57 PM

Deaf, I've dealt with it once and I could deal with it again.

You've been deaf before? What happened?

Tom4784 08-09-2012 04:06 PM

I was born deaf but then I had a fair few operations to put some special implants in my ears so that I could hear.

Really? Thats amazing... do you hear perfectly now?

Tom4784 08-09-2012 04:12 PM

My hearing's around about average, perhaps a little less. It dips quite harshly when I'm ill though but I can hear fine most of the time.

Thats good! I think all mums to be worry about deafness and blinndess in their babies, but I honestly had no idea the could operate and give kids their hearing back! Amazing! :)

MTVN 08-09-2012 04:17 PM

Deafinitely would rather lose my hearing

Tom4784 08-09-2012 04:18 PM

Only certain types of deafness mind. The implants I had wouldn't work on everyone. I was just lucky that mine was treatable.

Maia 08-09-2012 04:31 PM

Deaf, even though both would be horrible, I'd hate it if say I was in a room and there was a moth flying around I wouldn't know D:

arista 08-09-2012 04:41 PM

I thought I had put this in General Chat. :suspect:

I'd rather go blind I think, a world of silence would be awful.

mizzy25 08-09-2012 05:42 PM

defintly deaf id hate to be blind. my mam has gone blind in one eye and she hates it as her other eye is blurred vision. deafness certainly wudnt bother me as much but can you imagine being both? OMG how awful that must be.

Marc 08-09-2012 05:50 PM

I wouldn't say this was general chit chat :idc:
