I have a very important announcement to make.

One of this year's finalists has decided to withdraw for personal reasons which I completely support and understand, therefore taking our list down to 49. There are two courses of action available to me here:

1) I utilise the nominations sent to me by Niall which I received moments after I announced the nominations were closed for Round 1, which would give another person 3 nominations to replace the withdrawing member.

2) I ask all of those who voted for the withdrawing member to give me another name and hope that this doesn't give us more than one person who has 3 nominations (because you all know who got 1/2 noms) - and then in the likely event that it does, post a public poll to see who gets to be #50.

What do you think? I'm leaning towards option 1) rather than 2) because it's easier. Also, once this has been decided upon, I'll be allowing anyone who has thus far voted to update their votes accordingly if they voted for the withdrawing member, or they wish to vote for the member who replaces them.

I think option 1 sounds much more straightforward... but then 2 might give the two I voted that Disneyland make it an extra chance to get through. I don't know!

1 seems easier. If you hadnt posted the list of who has 2 then I would have gone for option 2 though

1 seems easier, can you please let us know who the person is now. Gives us more time to think that way.

The user in question who is withdrawing doesn't want a big fuss surrounding this, obviously you will find out who it is when a 50th user is selected to replace them but I promised to not make a big deal out of it and they wanted to make it clear that this isn't a withdrawal in a Claymores kind of way, so they are not to be lambasted for this decision! Thanks :)

I think its Shaun... he's got other more important things to spend his money on this year, like good, books, housing and lager... instead of using it to bribe Greg as usual

I'm pretty sure who I know who will become the 50th member and I will feel terrible because I've already sent my list off and I'd have to like sort it all out because I couldn't have them not feature.

This poll will close tomorrow and the result of it will be the final decision.

I've gone with Option 1 as it seems the least fiddley.

Yeah 1. Number 2 wouldn't be fair because you've already posted the list of people with 1 and 2 nominations.
