BGT peaks with 13 Million
Including viewers on ITV+1, 10.6 million watched BGT last night, with a peak of more than 13 million viewers, more than The X Factor final achieved last year.
It was a great show, I'm glad :D |
:bored:
|
I only watched a bit of it because it was my sisters birthday but I watched the young guy in the wheelchair who was a comedian I think? He was great
Gonna catch up today as I vowed that I'm actually gonna watch it this year |
FFS. **** off Cowell :bored:
|
The Shadow Dancers alone deserved that :worship:
|
That is a stunning peak. And over 1m watched on +1, astonishing figures all round.
The Voice held up well though to be fair so I think everyone's come out of this relatively well which is a surprise. I think the separate time slots will help both shows next week. |
The fact from what I heard the show was just singers (**** off to X Factor or the voice you bellends), a disabled comedian (who I'm guessing wasn't very funny at all but you know... disabled) and a unique act that probably will lose over the singers, just shows how much of a low the show is :bored:
|
The show was good last night :nono: the problem is I can imagine a lot of singers are tempted by this show because it's much easier to reach the live shows than it is on X Factor or The Voice, so I can see why it might be appealing to go for this over other talent shows. And of course child singers can't apply for the other shows so this is the only viable alternative.
I'd say that shadow picture group has a decent chance of winning personally, I could see the public getting behind an act like that, a dog won last year when all we'd had is singers and dance groups (Spelbound fall into that category) before, I think that might've broke the cycle. But it'll all depend on what acts appear in the next few weeks though. I also have to say, Simon's got this panel spot on after years of trying. A lot of funny stuff in the show last night. |
It was absolutely terrible.
|
^^ lmao
|
that is amazing let hope it keeps like this
|
Oh and the fact they digged at The Voice, 5 minutes in made me want to see it flop, stupid twats.
|
There is plenty of indirect digs against Cowell's shows on The Voice :p

I don't know why I hate it so much, I know I'll end up watching it next week because they don't clash :bored: Simon is just a cock, and him winning massages his ego even more, and what the **** is an Amanda Holden? Get rid. |
The Voice makes constant digs at Simon Cowell and his shows. 'This show is different, we encourage good singers' is all we hear and 'we don't laugh at contestants'. BBC, that is why The Voice is a flop. I was OK with The Voice last year, but this year I can't bare it. The episode dragged and dragged. BGT flew past, I could've watched at least another half an hour before even getting slightly bored. 13 million is a huge peak, and I think the show deserved it. And why shouldn't they make digs at The Voice? Simon's shows have had the Saturday prime time slot for a decade, The Voice is the one who moved in and the one who is outrightly competing (and failing) against Simon.

Looks like BGT going to beat the voice again :)

Simon is the king of talent shows :nono: I agree that Amanda's pretty pointless but David is  and him and Simon make a great double act <3 |
How is that a dig at X Factor though lolol, they are coaches, that is the element.
Meh The Voice US destroys Cowell's X Factor over there, so it's k  |
Well deserved. Even the average, as double-digit figures these days are rather high actually, even if that does include +1 showings.
|
It's the way they phrase it and constantly go on about not judging and not laughing at people and all the elements of X Factor and BGT, there really isn't that much difference anyway because the judges on X Factor become mentors so they in effect coach too
The Voice has a decent format but it takes itself too seriously and that's its downfall, I don't know if it's any different in the US but the production in the UK is far too up itself for a Saturday night prime time entertainment show, and viewers are put off by it. You could argue that's the viewers fault of course but if the BBC wants it to be a mainstream show hitting the heights of BGT then it needs to lighten up a little. |
Every show Simon Cowell touches turns to gold.
He is a God. :idc: That is all. |
