The Sims 4
The Sims 4 web domain appears to have been registered by EA, with the game's unveiling expected on Monday (May 6).
The studio is holding a conference call tomorrow and has promised to make a major announcement related to the world-creation franchise, according to a NeoGAF forum post. The new web domain, thesims4.com, is already active and links back to the official Sims site. EA will continue to support The Sims 3 this year, with the Island Paradise, Dragon Valley and Movie Stuff expansion packs scheduled for release in the coming months. Released in 2009, The Sims 3 and its add-ons continue to chart highly in the weekly PC chart. It has been speculated that The Sims 4 could require an always-online connection like the latest Sim City sequel. DS No doubt it will have always on DRM, expansions for Pets, Clubs and University, and in game purchases. |
sounds good. bet it will take forever to release
also cant believe that the sims 3 was released in 2009.... that's insane. |
will be expecting a big step up in graphics.. always loved this game
I'm just wondering where they can go from here and what new in game features there will be, always loved The Sims.
Never played The Sims properly. Which is the best on PC?
Hated Sims 3 so unless it's anything like the 2nd one I probably wont bother with it.
omg. Well this is a shock!
IF IT DOESN'T HAVE AN ONLINE FORMAT TO IT I'M NOT PLAYING OR BUYING IT IDC. The Sims 3 - IMO sucked balls. So if they want to expand on the franchise, it's time to take it online. It's been my dream to play The Sims online. |

Funny that i put up a facebook status about sims 4 a week or so ago
LOL with the always online thing..i suppose it could work like the sims online did yeaaaaars ago as long as its not a fail at launch like with Sim City But this time...PLEASE think of more original expansions..got a bit crap when 2 and 3 just did the same expansions from 1 all the time |
sounds good but they have not fixed lots of bugs in the Sims 3

The Sims 3 was lazy, they thought by making the characters look like little play-dough figures and having it set in a small town that requires a REALLY High Tech computer to even look as good as it does in the trailers, would get them alot of sales. It failed. The Sims 3 was ridiculously ****e. And it looked so good too back in 2009 before it actually came out. |
I loved Sims 2. Never bought Sims 3 but played it on friends computers - thought it was just okay.
Never played it except some PS2 version a couple of times.
You're missing out man, the console versions are a load of balls
LOL I did want it once but assumed it would slow the **** out my laptop
I'd play it if it was an ipad app.
The Sims 2 is so much better than 3! I prefer the graphics in it aswell! Sims 3 was a disaster :(
I really really really hate EA but I'll probably wind up buying this and about 4 of the other expansions :bored:
Maxis being involved from the start gives me much more hope. I'm hoping this is a step in the right directions after the disappointing Sims 3 (and them releasing expansion packs at the speed of Rihanna) and the tragic new SimCity. We'll see but I'm super excited anyway :amazed:
