Blocked my toilet.

So I've blocked the toilet.

Tried the plunger to break up the paper, still won't budge. So I tried a mixture...

Some of the following:

Salt
Washing Up Liquid
Fabric Conditioner
Baby Shampoo
Mouthwash
Anti backterial gel
Sink unblocker
Bleach

Currently have, possibly, the cleanest blocked toilet ever.

Unfortunately, the vinegar has gone. Baking soda also.

Just wondering if anyone can suggest something else I may have if this doesn't work.

I am sure Marc will sort it for you

tried filling up a bucket of water and pouring it down? If that doesn't work, grab a coat hanger

Yeah, tried it a few times. And boiling water.

We have drain rods somewhere, not sure where. Hopefully I can fix it before my Mum sees. Blew her bloody top last time. :suspect:

I never thought I'd ever say this, but Jake is right - you need a coat hanger to get round the U bend.

You should try less TP and wiping more effectively, next time.

Marc 09-05-2013 02:13 PM

Coat hanger  gross

I have had a lot to wipe these past few weeks. :suspect:

I just put another kettle full of boiling water down and it now looks like something you wash your pots in, except with bog roll at the bottom of it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a wire coat hanger. :(

If you have a blocked toilet, then pouring more water in seems about the worst thing you could do.

Get a big plunger and go to work on the toilet.

I've seen on the net a lot recommend doing it, so it breaks the paper up. Obviously, it will make more water but it slowly goes down.

And no way am I putting my hand in. :nono:

Suze 09-05-2013 02:18 PM

My oldest son always seems to be blocking toilets :bored: The only thing that seems to shift them is a strong stick from the garden.

Ryan57 09-05-2013 02:18 PM

Got to be honest, because I don't want water splashing up onto me, I use a plunger like a little girl that I am.

You might have no choice Ryan, if all else fails :joker:

I think if you fill a bucket and pour it in from a height the force of the water should remove the blockage.

LMAO

Eventually you're gonna have to. :joker:

Don't pour boiling water down it you'll crack the porcelain.

Suze 09-05-2013 02:21 PM

You might need to get the Marigolds out :joker:

You could try more fibre in your diet?

I'd have laid a month's salary on Marc being the originator of this thread. I am shocked...

Suze 09-05-2013 02:23 PM

I am seriously thinking of giving Ryan a vote now in Most Loved, just for this thread :joker:

Marc 09-05-2013 02:25 PM

Water always works for me

Maybe stand on your Mums shoulders when she comes in.

Livia 09-05-2013 02:27 PM

Amusing how it's never any of the females who start these arse/sh1t threads.

Yet it's the females that reinforce and reward these negative behaviours. Take Suze, giving up Sootys place in her top 10 for a toilet blocking thread.
