Sallie the single parent

Sallie is a single parent and needs to win for her child!, this comment echoed the comments made by jasmine lennard celeb 2012.
will sallie turn out to be another jasmine, and who is taking care of her child while she is off doing bb?
Is sallie doing bb for herself or her child and how do you feel about someone saying that they are doing it for their child?

Gusto Brunt 16-06-2013 08:00 AM

Kid or not, she should not win.

mr rochester 16-06-2013 08:04 AM

On the face of it it could be argued that both J and S are flawed, damaged, insecure and in complete denial over who they actually are. It is to be hoped that Sallie can step outside of herself when it comes to her child. You generally don't hear the word mother and tomboy in the same sentence do you..? Hmmmmm...

Let's hope she doesn't start tattooing her kid.

Oh! The very thought....

I wonder if Sallie has considered her child's feelings when she describes herself as '*its, tats and beanie hats'..?

*its, tats , beanie-hats and childcare somehow has a different ring to it doesn't it...?

Marc 16-06-2013 09:21 AM

Her winning would be awful

Kizzy 16-06-2013 09:27 AM

Well much as I dislike sallie I find your scoffing distasteful, you can be a mother and an individual too you know.

So sorry if you think of this as scoffing...it's offered as an individual opinion only...

Would you say Sallie's somewhat erratic behaviour invites strong reaction?

Exactly.

Pink Pegasus 16-06-2013 10:34 AM

She's not a single parent.

The father has the majority custody of the little girl.

Sallie sees the little girl for a few days every other week.

They are in the BBhouse for their erratic behaviour they want characters not bores. I wouldn't say her behaviour is any more or less erratic than wolfies or ginas.

GiRTh 16-06-2013 10:43 AM

She needs to go on one hell of a journey to win.

PrincessIona 16-06-2013 12:11 PM

I couldn't believe it when she said she wants to win for her and her daughter - her daughter that she only sees once a fortnight! Did she know realise that we know that when she made that comment?!

Roy Mars III 16-06-2013 12:14 PM

thankfully she will not win

karezza 16-06-2013 12:15 PM

She needs to win so that she can completely cover herself in tattoos.

I think, they said it when they reviewed each housemate on bbots on the first night. I think it was on the first night, might have been the second. I will try and check later.

Anyone else remember this?

The daughters custody arrangements aren't that relevant IMO to whether she wants to provide for her. She may not have full custody but that doesn't stop her wanting to make a better life for her. Maybe she wants more access, maybe she hasn't been financially secure in the past to provide that. I honestly don't know but I wouldn't like to judge too much on that until I did know more.

rusticgal 16-06-2013 12:22 PM

She will never win. Keep her for entertainment but she is too self obsessed to win. Just watched yesterdays LF and she is so desperate for attention. Now she ate the sweets everyone will suffer...nominate her then she will go (unfortunately).

From Sallie's profile on the CH5 site..

Sallie has a 3 year old daughter who lives with her for a few days every week. Her daughter's father looks after her the rest of the time. As she spends a lot of time away, she says the time they have together is very precious
Can't see anything wrong with this arrangement. It works for them as a family.

Of course you don't.

supergirthuk 16-06-2013 05:08 PM

Seems a reasonable thing to say. I doubt she will win as she is too outspoken for her own good too early on.

Vanessa 16-06-2013 05:11 PM

She's not the only one with kids in the House.

MatthewS 16-06-2013 05:17 PM

She's not really a 'single' parent. To me that implies the father is out of the picture and she's going at it alone. Which she isn't. Not trying to take anything away from her, but it seems that her and her ex have a decent 'partnership' and are both living up to their responsibilities and providing for their child equally, as they share custody weekly. Good on her. I just hope she doesn't play the 'single parent' pity card, as it's not the case.
