How long do we think Callum will keep up his facade?

This Mr nice guy thing..its a load of ****. Nice people dont constantly have to tell everyone else how nice they are. No-one is that obsessed with giving massages. Even nice people would get annoyed with people shouting in their face..

I predict the mask will slip in a week or so..on a night that involves a lot of alcohol.

Alex (bb12) managed to keep up her act for the whole series, but she had the sense to pretend to be teetotal so that she didnt slip up when drunk ;)

Jemal 07-07-2013 12:09 PM

And if it doesn't slip? Because i think hes genuine... The only reason he keeps saying hes nice is because people keep on questioning him.. Its stupid. Callum would of defo blown or stopped being nice by now if he wasnt genuine.

How can you make that call? Unless you know more than they've shown of Callum.

I still can't decide if he's genuine or not, though I do think he's very creepy...

MrWong 07-07-2013 12:15 PM

The mask (if he's wearing one) will possibly slip when he's up for eviction.

That's usually when hm's reveal themselves.

Mask or not he's the dullest hm this series.

smeagol 07-07-2013 12:25 PM

he might when gina and dex return or when dan gets on his case some more.
never seen someone as creepy as him. that joe massage was just scary.
i can see the headlines now he was always polite and nice no one ever suspected the bodies in the basement lol

So what if he gets annoyed at some point? Just because he hasnt yet doesnt mean he is not generally a nice bloke.

The person that knows him most is his mum and she says he isn't acting in there like he does at home. She was surprised at his nicey nicey attitude. He was trying to playa nice game but he has been caught out and dosent know how to own up and act like a jack the lad again without being slagged off for it. He is in limbo and wont come out till he is nominated.

Pink Pegasus 07-07-2013 12:54 PM

I think he will get really angry at some point and tell everybody to go feck themselves. In fact I hope he does and starts sticking up for himself.

If he gets annoyed or angry at some point so what? I won't think it's a mask slipping, or an 'act' coming to an end. People have different breaking points, some people lose their temper easy, some it takes an awful lot for them to get annoyed because they are just very calm, controlled people, and then some others they just let everything build up and then explode! The third type are not necessary fake though, they are just not good at expressing anger, or maybe they are poor at being assertive so they build up every little grievance until they get REALLY upset and then pop.

I don't know if Callum is any of those types, but I don't think he's fake just because he has been very nice so far. I think the rest of the housemates are just copying Dan. They only started using the same word and saying his niceness was "awkward" after Dan got it into their head and kept saying it.

Maybe he's a prick, who knows? But I haven't seen any evidence of that in the house so far.

It was so weird seeing that task with Dexter, even if it was fake. To see Callum break out of his shell just for a few minutes was good to see.

No, his mother said he was a nice lad & helpful. She did say she was surprised that he was so quiet because he was more jokey at home.

I really don't think Callum will ever 'slip up' because, it is definitely not a 'facade'. In his defence, he was saying that he was a 'nice guy' until so many people harped on about it. It's almost as though they've forced him into that character by accusing him of it so much.

Also, I really don't think just because he hasn't risen his voice yet, that he's playing an act. If anything, it's indicating how much class he has. He is a top class gentleman and he knows that raising his voice won't help in diffusing the situation and that's why he chooses to walk away instead. In fact, I think people should learn from the way Callum deals with argumentative situations, as I think it is very honorable.

Rachel Rice got this, Hira got this and now Callum is getting this and I will protect him all the way for years to come. He's a genuinely nice guy, and he wont slip because he has nothing to hide. The bigger problem I see is that people make issues of people being 'too nice' instead of 'mean'. Sure, he's on a TV program so you can make assumptions, but like Rachel said, no-one can act for that long, you'd have to be insanely calculated to keep up an act for so long.

Also, remember that like Rachel, Callum is a teacher, well sports teacher at school so he's had years of experience catering to people and being calm in situations. I think statements made on his facebook page like "My son cried when he saw Mr. Knell on Big Brother because he wouldn't be his teacher anymore" etc are testaments to how great of a guy Callum is. Callum to win, he's now my second favourite housemate ever, after Glyn.

Definitely, not just a great coach but a great guy. TEAM CALLUM!

smeagol 07-07-2013 01:15 PM

lol no one is that nice in this world no one.
you can tell he is forcing it even the so called experts said it. he thinks before he speaks in a low tone like a robot. everything is calculated. he agrees with everybody no matter what they say. . he asskisses everybody he gives unwanted advice like some wise old man. and gives unwanted massages (see joe video) its all part of the plan to win.
he will do anything to avoid nomination , he may be a ok niceish guy but he is laying it on too thick to the point of vomit inducing . he is taking it to the extreme and beyond.
one thing for sure though even if he is a nice guy he is a 100% creep. and very creepy in all he does that cant be denied.

This.

Infact in our house we have taken to calling him Creepy Callum lately, there is definitely more to him, his facial expressions don't match the mood he's in a lot too, definitely one of the ones i'm struggling to work out.

GiRTh 07-07-2013 01:47 PM

Dunno to the OP question but surely even he must be frustrated at how much of a p*ssy he's been acting. If this is his gameplan then its the worse in the history of the show.

aman201 07-07-2013 01:49 PM

Creepy Callum is so apt, the way he conducts himself 90% of time is odd.
