Dont Blame Hazel!

I am sick of listening about the daley thing! stop blaming hazel for what happened..he said he had no girlfriend...she appeared and said they loved each other? get a grip everyone she got well paid for pretending to cry and shes the one who took daley from his wife and two boys..it takes two to tango just like theres two sides to every story and BB certainly did not think about that.

BB has incited hatred for hazel and should be ashamed of the treatment she is getting. Obviously they want Gina to win, so really they dont give a s**t what the public thinks because they are influencing the outcome.

If this is what BB is all about then its time to call it a day!

CaudleHalbard 26-07-2013 01:07 AM

To be honest, I don't think anyone gives a toss about Hazel at this stage. Even her friend Dan has said it might be best if she gets evicted... which we can be pretty sure she will be in a week's time.

Hazel can then concentrate on damage limitation and trying to save her career. She's better out than in!

Scream 26-07-2013 01:09 AM

I agree with OP. Hazel seems so genuine and nice. The word jealousy springs to mind

reece(: 26-07-2013 01:11 AM

Hazel is an interesting character, everyone just keeps scapegoating their hate upon her for no validated reason... some of the comments I've seen on here have really astounded.

blue 26-07-2013 01:13 AM

i hate hazel can not stand that woman, i wish she would leave already

.

Marsh. 26-07-2013 01:16 AM

I wouldn't quite describe Hazel as "nice". She's definitely a feisty character but the irrational hate that gets heaped on her just makes me support her all the more. :D

The Hazel/Daley stuff highlights just how bad sexism still is.

CaudleHalbard 26-07-2013 01:20 AM

I don't particularly like her - she is not someone I'd want to meet, but I too have been slightly taken aback by the level of sheer hatred.

I think a lot of it is coming from women. Well, if the BOTS audience is anything to go by!

I dunnooo... tonight's HL sort of showed a lot of HMs feeling a bit sorry for her, she might avoid nomination (if they keep it "vanilla"... there will probably be some stupid twist or other  ).

As for "damage limitation" and "saving her career", I genuinely have no idea why people think any of this is going to do anything other than raise her public profile and help her career. She wants to be a glamor model... guess what? The target audience of glamor models isn't angry, jealous, probably unattractive women who bang on about "girl codes" (Hazel haters).

Like Dexter said (yaaay, some great Hexter action tonight) if you poke your head over the fence, you become a target. She's been noticed. It doesn't matter that a lot of the attention is negative. She'll do fine.

the truth 26-07-2013 01:29 AM

unpleasant deluded homewrecker

Kris 26-07-2013 01:36 AM

So not buying her pity me, pouty, I'm so hurt and confused act. I've already seen her evil faces.

CaudleHalbard 26-07-2013 02:00 AM

Hazel's piercing eyes are both her asset and her downfall. They do look truly evil at times.

I can see why people pick up on it.

Kizzy 26-07-2013 02:07 AM

I bet hazel thought that about daleys eyes as he towered over her?..

letmein 26-07-2013 07:00 AM

After this week, people really need to move on. She got what she deserved this week after what she did prior. After that, as long as she doesn't cock anything else up, give her a second chance. I don't think she's done anything wrong this week.

Jords 26-07-2013 07:13 AM

I no longer acknowledge "Dazel"

Well said, and i feel likewise. What ever the pros and cons of her time in the safe house it would have been a negative experiance for her to have to deal with. She then gets hit by some of the public voted tasks. The fact that both must have hurt but she has taken them on the chin and kept going does her credit.Faced with a simular double whammy some of the other housemates male and female would not have reacted in such a brave way.

I think the viewing ,voting public do have a sence of fair play on balance and when the next proper evictions come round even if up i do not think Hazel is a certainty to go.

I cant be doing with the cold hearted bitch and it has nothing to do with her tendancy to destroy boxers lives.
Just the fact that she has already stated that her appearance on the show is part of a well managed career opportunity is enough for me to label her a cold calculating slut.
If she wants to play the game she has to live by its rules.

Who is/was openly or obviously there for career reasons:

Hazel, Dan, Twins, Dexter, Gina, Charlie, Sallie.

None of the others get the constant scorn that Hazel gets. Again this feels like an excuse.

bez87 26-07-2013 08:34 AM

I found it funny how she is the homewrecker and yet it was daley who had the girlfriend and told hazel that they had split just before going in :S how that makes her a homewrecker is beyond me, i'm pretty sure if a girl came up to me and i thought she had a boyfriend but then she told me she had just split from him, that would signal to me a green light to continue. so daley gave the green light and hazel went for it. lets not forget that daley's girlfriend took daley away from his other mrs and his kids. crazy how many jealous people there own, i've honestly seen nothing from hazel to make me hate her so much, she isn't the nicest girl but nothing she has done has been that extreme.

why are these women hating her so much?? she is the one who got pinned down and threatened to be headbutted not the other way around. is this the world we're living in to make excuses up to justify that type of behaviour.

Why stop there?

From Alex Sibley, a model, to Anthony Hutton, a dancer, they are all in it for the fame, the money, their 15 minutes. As for celeb BB, its all about their careers.

And dont forget the big brother presenters, Davina, Dermot, Russel, they have all milked the show for all it was worth.

Its fairly simple, they "hated" her, then found a reason for it

I can see why people pick up on it.

She paints on her eyebrows at an unnatural angle, slanted downwards, which makes her look evil / intimidating, as a deliberate attempt to convey strength. Probably has done for years. She looks much softer / nicer without makeup on, such as during the task, but note that she also feels uncomfortable and exposed.

Also of note: Daley forcefully stating that he prefers her without it. Probably because without her mask on, he felt more dominant. The whole conversation was way outside her comfort zone.

So yeah... Those "evil eyes" are a trick with makeup that she does deliberately for probably complex reasons. I maintain that she is a MUCH more fascinating character than most of them, because she's not an open book (or a contrived character).

She is desperate to appear strong and really is admirably stoic, as Dexter and a few others picked up on last night, she takes things that are obviously upsetting her squarely on the chin and doesnt throw a hysterical tantrum like the rest of them (bar Dexter) would have by now.

Of course, most other women (and some men) simply do not like strength or assertiveness in women. Certainly not pre-menopausal women, anyway.

That is people's real issue with Hazel and Daley and they probably dont even know it. Charlie / dexter is the same situation but people don't have the same response. why? because Dexter, the male, is the pursuer and Charlie the passive girl giggling away.

With Daley and Hazel - although Daley wad the first to show interest (hand-writing) - hazel was the one pursuing. Too assertive. People can't handle it. because people, it turns out, really are sexist.

And the funny thing is, I didn't believe it until all of this. I've always said that modern feminism is pointless, that there is equality, that these issues are imagined but they're clearly not - the general public is blatantly misogynistic when a female falls outwith their expected role or personality. And do you know what the biggest revelation to me is? it's not men. Men are not the problem. Most men really are "getting there" when it comes to being unsexist and unbiased.

its other women! Women hate women. It's absolutely bizarre.

As Toy soldier pointed out you're inconsistent. Why do you call her a slut? What do you actually know about her life o ba able to make that claim.? Its sad that you feel so strongly about people on a game show that you feel its necessary to insult them from a view point of ignorance.

Oh if we went through every year the list would take up a whole page. Sophie who won is probably the best example: she was openly there for exactly the same reason, she wanted to become a glamour model. But she was harmless and dippy so the public loved her.

And she tried the showmance early on too. And had she been up in the first few weeks, she would have been out before she could blink.
