It should be news, because it can then encourage others that are struggling with it to come out and be an inspiration for that person, but then when it happens and it becomes really patronizing on that person that's the worst bit

I dont really get why we have to come out if we're gay. Just be yourself, and if someone asks you why you didn't come out when they see you with the same sex, just say "Yeah, I'm gay, why is it a big deal?"

Louis is the reason I found confidence to come out in the first place... :shrug: I thought he was gay before I became such a big fan.

Also, he's got a 'girlfriend' called Eleanor... Apparently she's a beard (fake girlfriend) hired by Modest Management but... let's not get into that.

I think it should be news tbh because it will make other people come out and think it's ok, but it's ok anyway it's just as they go through school being gay it's suppose to be a bad thing I didn't care when I was at school I just ignored the trolls, but I didn't come out at school it would of made it worst then my school life was like in the first place :joker:

I only did it because I needed confidence at the time. HOWEVER - No. It shouldn't be news. Homosexuality should just be the same as heterosexuality. It's nothing to make news of really, these days I mean. It's as common.

To be fair, if he is about to come out to the media, that's a very brave thing to do and I think it is inspirational of him to do so - millions of people look up to and admire One Direction and I think it's brave of him to choose to do it now while they're still at the peak of their career instead of doing it when he's no longer hot property. Of course... might not be him. Pretty sure he's gay anyway but would be interesting if it is him who's coming out tomorrow...
