Do you eat in public places?

If you are on the bus, train or walking down the street and you get a bit peckish, would you whip out a cookie or a sandwich and have a munch without a care? What is your go to thing to nibble on the go?

(Restaurants and inside your own car don't count)

Samm 13-04-2014 10:07 PM

Yes today I was walking down bristol high street eating a sandwich, don't see what's wrong with it

Kate! 13-04-2014 10:09 PM

Marsh. 13-04-2014 10:36 PM

I do when I'm starving. I'll sit eating at the bus stop/train station.

But in general, not really, I'm a bit self conscious about that.

I'll happily enjoy a nice stroll along the sea front with a bag of chips in my hand.

lily. 13-04-2014 10:42 PM

If I'm hungry, I eat. Doesn't matter where I am.

One time I was really hungry, and didn't have time to go get something proper to eat, so I went into the little shop at the bus stop and bought a big bag of cheetos and ate them on the bus.

ngl, they did not smell good.. and the bus was busy.. and I was getting some pretty evil looks from some of the people sitting near me, but I was hungry, so yeah..

michael21 13-04-2014 10:47 PM

lily. 13-04-2014 10:49 PM

No, I would eat something like a mars bar but I would rather head off to a cafe for something if I was going to be a while getting home.

lostalex 13-04-2014 11:31 PM

Reminds me of this awful time I was walking on the walls during a break from Jury Service a couple of years ago and I was looking over where the Canal is and I had one of those pasta pots you get from Tescos in my hand, I turned around suddenly and dropped the pasta below literally landed in some old Women's hood and splattered everywhere, it was like a 1 in a thousand chance of it landing in that spot, so yeah I tend not to eat in public anymore on case i upset anymore oaps.. all I heard down below was a yelp and " Derick! What the ell was that " I left the crime scene before good old derick could make his way up and unleash his wrath

Still feel a bit guilty to this day

Drew. 14-04-2014 12:20 AM

Was it the chicken, mustard and sweetcorn pasta by any chance

Novo 14-04-2014 12:26 AM

Not sure, It had Mayo in it though

Me. I Am Salman 14-04-2014 12:28 AM

I've never shared this before but

a few years ago on the bus these two women in front of me left their chips on the seat and I was starving SO badly and I ate the rest when they got off, like it was upright so I thought it wouldn't be dirty

I regret so much in hindsight, esp as these were two really chavvy girls and I remember one of them talking about pulling an Italian guy the night before. it must have been ridden with diseases eww
