..they've had these for a month or so at my branch and they're actually pretty easy to use and very quick as well after the first few times of getting used to the different transactions...and they always have staff to help and explain if anyone needs it...
|
And what happens during the inevitable "technical difficulty" periods?
I don't like this over reliance on machines. |
Yay! Skynet should be here any day :amazed:

..even with cashiers, 'machines' are still used though and they do sometimes have problems now if they can't access your account so this really is just the same except the customers are using the machines directly instead of a member of staff.... |

...like I said, we already have a few, and the problems are endless, from technical faults to user error... people often need help. With that in mind, "How many staff do they have to troubleshoot problems or help new faces? Y'know... how many people are on hand milling around, to help people to use the machines?" "Err... usually two... or three" says our concerned Aussie friend. :joker: |

...I think you can see still do your transactions with a member of staff if you want to and I guess that some people prefer to do that and possibly always will but the staff are encouraging using the self tills because they are quite efficient and I guess it might just be more of an alternative to internet banking which we do anyway... |
Are the self serves still for 10 items or less or whatever it is?
